thank you capello for

1. making a team that could work without a playmaker

2. after that team worked so well changed it back to make room for a player who had 45 days of injury
3-playing Montero in the first 11

You wouldn't be saying that if Appiah piledrived the ball into the top corner with his first touch - he was out of ideas, Cap was just rolling the dice.
We're unlucky people..if luck was on our side, we would've had that first leg wrapped up with a 2-2 and WE'D be the one frustrating THEM 0-0.
That's what I'm saying.. He should have rolled the dice WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY sooner... And he should've taken out Nedved.. he simply sucked tonight, and it was a crime to remove Camoranesi instead of him..

We were soft in the middle of the park, and couldn't create from the centre which was why we kept going by the flanks. It's annoying. We've got a tall Swedish striker who can't head or finish well. What a waste of money -.-
He's 23. His first season in 'top' league..stop looking for a scapegoat. We were terrible tonight, collectively as a team.

Capello can't really be blamed.

Players like Montero and Olivera would have a hard time getting a place in teams like Perugia, and then look at what he had on the bench. Appiah, Zalayeta, Birindelli, Pessotto... Juventus has a horrible squad. We managed to beat a team like Real because they didn't have a serious defense.

Well, well well. That is, probably not the worst, but the lamest, the most embarassing and the most depressing performance I've probably been witness to. The fans were brilliant, never stopped singing and the atmosphere, even from the television set looked teriffic. As for the play, the most lethargic, slow-paced, even UNINTERESTED approach was frankly not good enough. Wholesale changes should not be out of the question in the summer.

Brief ratings

Buffon - had nothing really to do, good block in the first half, did ok, what was asked. 5

Montero - absolutely shocking. Every time he got near the ball, Liverpool looked a threat, cockups nearly led to a couple of goals in the second half. Well past it. 2

Cannavaro - best defender in europe by a mile imo. Absolutely brilliant, and came closest to scoring. This man should be tied up, and end up as a coach, our young players could learn shedloads from him. 8

Thuram - reasonably solid but very slow in possession, lacked urgency and always a worry when ran at by fast players nowadays. 6

Zambrotta - ran the line tirelessly and probably the only attacking player that never stopped trying. Little end prroduct unfortunately but one of the few players without blame this evening. 7

Camoranesi - I don't like this guy and this has confirmed it. Such a petty player, always tring to win freekicks but never really achieving anything. Has so much technical ability but never uses it. 4.5

Emerson - Did ok but an absolute farce of a booking loses him at least one point as he'd have missed the semi. An appaling shot, no teo actually when well positioned, really needs to work on that. 5.5

Olivera - Did he even toch the ball? Out of his depth - "the best young player on the planet" according to Moggi - what tripe! 4

Nedved - Sometimes a bit incisive but absolutely worlds away from his best. I'm wondering if he is also becoming past it, which is a big worry. Not the worst by any stretch but poor nonetheless 5.5

Del Piero - Actually one of his better games but again, nothing happened for him. Did reasonably well but him and Zlatan do not work together at all. 5.5

Zlatan - Nothing came off for him tonight, tried fairly hard but nothing happened. OK I guess. 5.5

General comment - only Cannavaro :star: and Zambrotta :star: come out of this game with any credit, but if Baros had taken that piss easy chance in the second half it would have all been academic anyway. We never looked like scoring, and full credit to a massively weakened Liverpool team who dominated from start to finish. I look forward to hearing other people's views on this one but SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE!!

Forza Juve

DP Good???

What game were you watching?! I think you must have been watching a replay of an old Juve game.....one from about...ooh... 1996.

He wasn't the only one I agree, but you expect a bit of passion and determination from the club captain. He didn't seem bothered, none of them did.
You and your passion again. Forget your prejudices and watch the game. When he had the ball he did good. People show "passion" in different ways. He does his talking on the pitch.

so zeman was right when he says that juventus doesn't have the quality of milan teamsi
