How many points do we need from the next two games to seal top spot?
4 points to be certain.
Or for us to win against Malmo and Chelsea to at most draw against Zenit.
Or if the head to head record doesn't count anymore (goals scored away) then 3 points and a better goal difference against Chelski.

they did, but the goal difference between teams on equal points still matter iirc
Yeah you are right. Just read the rules.
Criteria on equal points

higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;

superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;

higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;

That means if both us and chelski win the next matches than the last one becomes decisisive.
chelski would top us if they win by 2 or more goals at their venue.

That's not accurate.

If we draw against Chelsea, we seal top spot due to H2H record.

If we lose against Chelsea 1-0, 2-1 or 3-2 and beat Malmo, we will still finish top because of our superior goal difference.

If we lose against Chelsea by more than a goal difference, beat Malmo and they tie Zenit in Russia, we still finish top.

So many permutations and combinations, but the bottom line is we should try and avoid losing by more than 1 goal against Chelsea to guarantee top spot.

Pleasantly surprised at the bravery shown to leave our front 3 up for the break when Zenit started chasing the game at 2-1 down.

It was a clear tactic that paid off, even if we looked shaky defending with 7 men (understandably as Zenit pushed their full backs up and the middle 3 couldn’t handle the switch of play and cover the width.

Alex Sandro was abysmal, looked shaky and completely off the pace. Morata tried and worked hard even if the quality and end product was lacking which will be important as we have no credible alternative up front.
