What do u want? U seem to have a real mental problem. All I see from u on this forum is HATE. Nothing else. Easily the most annoying person here. And not really intelligent either. What did I say? I said he is a key player for that game and he needs to show up for us to win. And he didn’t. Yes. But u can’t make people what they are obviously not. Just like u can’t blame Mandzukic for not being a fast pace winger with close ball control, u can’t make Khedira part of a 2-man-midfield against fast pace opponents and expect him to work. That one is clearly on Allegri for me. We all know Khedira is slow and he is not a fighter like Matuidi. Of course he is going to look exposed. He is very important in a 3-man-midfield because he is actually a pretty intelligent player who has great positioning. He is tactically extremely valuable and that’s exactly why Allegri let’s him play in every big match. But that just isn’t him. Pjanic is nowhere to be seen on the defensive side of the ball.. do u want Khedira to defend alone there? I absolutely despise Sturaro (as a player, not a person) but we would have needed him from the beginning for several reasons. First and foremost to have more stability and second of all to have an attacking option on the bench. Allegri got completely outcoached here. Just to confirm it again, yes Khedira was shit. But to me that wasn’t his fault. And by the way Chiellini and Buffon among others were atrocious too. I don’t see u in their threats hating. All I see I u being all over the Khedira threat and every post here is about him. And whenever he plays well there’s no word from u on his performance. Something is fishy here.. did he touch ur girlfriend? :D people like u, who have actually no clue about football and just go into rage mode because of their emotions are absolutely no asset to this forum and actually make it hard to read most of the time. Save ur answer I’m not even going to bother about a response anyway. Bye
Didn't read lel

The only thing I can remember that Khedira did, was at the first goal.. He sort of blocked the player closest to higuain. That was pretty good of him.. After that he became invisible
Actually was it not khedira who gave away possession for the first goal

Whatever the case 7 completed passes for a midfielder is absolutely pathetic. Adding to his 16 vs fiorentina we have ourselves a free loader

Well that was a disgusting game to watch, not counting first 10 minutes of course. Getting dominated at home and just letting their creative players run around our box and trying all kind of dangerous passes. For other teams that's a must - to block opponent's creative players, but we just allow them to roam freely and count on last minute tackles (see De Sciglio's) to stop the shot.

The thing i'm most pissed about (apart the PK and Pjanić-Higgy chance) is how we conceded that first goal. Watch from 38:10:
http://fullmatchsports.com/juventus-vs-tottenham-hotspur-full-match-ucl-2018/?tab=first-half

Berna gets a lucky possession of the ball and everything looks to be set for a perfect counter, but instead of making a quick easy pass to free Pjanić he decides to hold on the ball. DeS does pretty well under pressure and Pjanić clears the situation with nice pass. Then our strong and quick DM Sami can't get ahead of Dele Alli so we see Higuain rushing for the ball and some pinball. then again we have some luck and a 3vs3 counter seems to be happening, but no, our 90m player can't make a pass. And then Chiello happened.
Basically how not to play in CL 101.

What i agree is that allegri got outcoached hardcore.
Too hardcore to be honest.
Im not even sure if the right word is “outcoached" because he fucked up the game alone, without pochetinno having to move a finger... by goign with that wron formation and approach
I agree. I think our whole season is borked. Wrong approach by our management and Allegri. Look at Real vs. PSG yesterday, and I don't want to talk about individual players, they showed the will to win and turn around the game until the bitter end. I don't want to compare us to Madrid, but I always had a high opinion of our players. I believe there is enough individual strength, creativity and desire to go far in every competition and eventually win it. But in the last few games, Seria A or CL, I didn't see this desire. I get the feeling Allegri could not create a common vision or goal for the team, everybody believes in.
Then there is the dreadful issue of letting core players leave every summer. Even worse, we do not manage to replace them appropriately. And even if we did, it always takes time (from the player and the team's perspective) and money (from the management's perspective) to integrate them. Allegri has done a great job with several players, but more recently I can't understand his decisions regarding formation. Rugani being one example. Young players need time on the pitch to gain experience and grow. The more you wait, the more opportunities pass, the higher the risk gets.
While Rugani doesn't get enough time, we also didn't bring back young players out on loan. Our defence is a mess, Barza is about to retire, Chiellini is growing older as well and Benatia, while having improved, can't be the benchmark. Marchisio is nowhere near his prime, Matuidi is great but only a limited solution. Khedira is just good enough for Serie A. And Pjanic alone

Players will leave, players will retire and we are losing time to allow a proper transition.
While it wouldn't be bad enough to let players leave every summer, in my opinion, we failed to bring back young players out on loan into the squad.

I rly dont get the panic in here. The way i see it, we scored 2 and got overconfident. With that out of the way, i still feel this tie is our to lose... Especially if Matuidi/ Cuadrado/ Dybala are fit.
If not 4-3-3 with Costa and Berna on the wings. + Bentancourt in the middle would do

it was rather spurs who started to play their game after they went 2-0 down. the turnaround wasn't about confidence, it was about running, fighting for every ball, accurate passing and pressing juve as hard as they could. we still had a couple of chances as their defense is shaky (and that gives us a lifeline for the 2nd leg), but the bad news are that they are a much more physical side and we couldn't deal with it at all.

Little crybaby he is. Internet tough guy.

I really wish he would get the oppurtunity to meet Sami on fine day, to finally receive the proper beating he deserves.

But sadly it won't happen. Sami's too much of a nice guy. He would simply LOL at him and walk away, embarrassed by the pitiful little man yelling at him.

Well we have a better chance to progress than PSG at least. Spending all that money but have nobodies in defense and goal. Yes they might score couple in Paris but Real will not stay 0 against that defense.

So could be worse. Spend 200-300m and get schooled by Real backup kids.

Badass has been routinely embarrassed on this forum for years. From the Paro >>> Fabregas posts, to flying to Turin to be friend-zoned by @Bezzy, to rage-quitting the forum 5000 times (and continually coming back) to the Marcelo saga, it’s been one fail after another for him. Newer posters on here and members who don’t post here regularly should know not to bother responding to him.

Dai, do you seriously rate Khedira? Can you not see him as a liability? I understand the whole 'limited options argument,' but surely now you must believe that we need to invest in an alternative for the summer. [This is a genuine question, not looking to rant.]

Look, i said it times and times again, do i want someone better? yes, but as long as we don't have that someone it makes no sense to go through the same discussions over and over again. Nothing is gonna change til summer.

I don't mind people criticizing him after a bad game when it's deserved, but one doesn't have to name call and spam in his thread 24/7. You (generally speaking) don't rate/like him. I got it. Move on.

:agree:

You see dimwit lol'ing over his entire career; saying players liek Granero and Altintop were better players as if Khedira career is down to stupid luck. People can't even knowledge how well Khedira played in large parts of his tiem in Turin. The unsung hero of many games and a player we missed a lot when he was injured.

Mourinho rated him as the best in the world at his position in Madrid and Khedira was an important part of one of the best teams in international football in the last 20 years. But trolololololololol Khedira is shit.

Khedira has lost his legs. Can't play in a 2-man midfield anymore, but he is still useful as depth and as a alternative in a 3-man midfield.

They weren't scared or lost after such a start, i'll give them that. But we've seen this many time before, we score, give the opposition the ball and say "here, now you try". Its just what we do, we go in energy conservation mode, so i generally don't like when we score too early (paradox i guess).
Now in 2nd game, we will have to fight for every ball too or go home... And i believe we have the physicality needed in Matuidi and to some extent Bentancourt. And the speed problem is solved with Costa and Cuadrado on the wings. They both can rip the joke of the fullbacks they have apart.
That's how i feel anyway. Forza :flag1:

it's a good point, but it's not about being overconfident. it's just an italian thing with conserving the lead and sitting back at 2-0. fucking pathetic and annoying if you ask me, but that's what you get for rooting for an italian club i guess.

Might be both actually :) I'm pretty sure after 2 goals in 10 minutes a lot of our players thought the job was done. But i remain confident in our chances. Also, we will be playing in the neutral pitch essentially, as wembley is not their home stadium.

We very well could turn it around. We have done it before. The thing is that the mentality we showed in turin was worrying, and its something we usually do. I dont think is just a case of "now try to score while i wait" situation.
We usually pull the plug mentally in games, and i dnot know how this issue can be corrected.
