Buffon;

De Sciglio, Benatia, Chiellini, Alex Sandro;

Khedira, Pjanic;

Bernardeschi, Douglas Costa, Mandzukic;

Higuain
Our midfield could be run over. That's my worry with that midfield pairing. On the other hand, Berna can keep the ball and Mandzukic will always do the hard yards. Plus, Berna cutting in on his left to find an early run from Mandzukic in behind. I hope they give that a good go.

They say 4-2-3-1 now - Its good and bad - Bernardeschi deserves to play and his link up with D.Costa is very good IMO BUT in 4-2-3-1 we are more exposed especially now without Matuidi.. I feel better with the 4-3-3..

Dembele ahead of Alderweireld, Eriksen and Son? lel + :howler:

Dembele is way too fickle anyway. At his best it's almost impossible to get the ball from him. But at times he comes across as a tad lazy and, perhaps most importantly, he seems to completely lack the desire to win really.

This is a good decision by Alegri.Maybe we will lack something in the mid field but surely be much more dangerous with all that quality players in attack.

:agree:
When he is on, it's nightmare to play against. I thought he was much younger though and will grow out of his mental lapses.

The odd thing is he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He's definitely quite intelligent for a footballer. On the other hand that might be part of his weakness. He knows he hasn't got a real care in the world and I guess he's just happy. I'd probably be too in his situation. But it's still a shame he didn't do more with his talent imo.

    I think, IMO, if we lose it will because we lost the midfield battle. Hopefully this all out attack gets the results to take to TH.

    What a strange line-up. Cant figure out the formation.
    I think it was like this:

    Chimenti
    Brazzo Zebina Cannavaro Grosso
    Melo Sissoko
    Camo Diego Candreva
    Trezeguet

    The front 6 actually looks alright (relatively), but we had no real CBs other than Cannavaro. And when he got sent off after 20-30 minutes, Grygera took his place. :lol:

    We did well against City, but of the top of my head in the last 20 years I can remember absolutely dreadful games against Liverpool, Arsenal, Fulham (!) and Chelsea.
    + against manutd in '99.

    juventus haven't beaten an english club in a 2-round knockout tie since eliminating manutd in the cup winners' cup semifinals in '84. since '84, we lost all five 2-match knockout stage ties against english clubs.
