@Alen was saying that type of offside hasn't been called in years... And I have to confess, I really haven't seen it called.
I think Vidal's handball was a penalty, as his arm was at a good 30 degree angle from the body, but it was debatable all the same... Probably a 50/50 type of thing. It would have been nice to get 1 of the 2 called our way though.

I don't think it was a penalty but Bayern definitely got the better decisions when both of them could have went against them with the offside and penalty.
Also: Juventus have gone through in each of the last six European knockout rounds in which they started with a home draw.

Hell, I've lost count how many times it doesn't go as everyone expected. A bit of luck can go a long way. But it's time to move on from this subject, you already know where I stand. Win or lose.
I don't know why people get so caught up over refereeing decisions like those. They are the kind that happen every game and could arguably go either way. They were really nothing scandalous and shouldn't be considered as decisive. It's not like Bayern were lucky to score those goals; we could've been more than 1-0 down at the half.
Acceptable result I'd say, and I believe we can go to Munich and get 1-0 when Chiellini, Alex and 3-5-2 return.

Atleast we have a chance in Munich and will have Sandro to terrorise their wing. We can not start that slowly and timid in Munich as we will be ripped to shreds.
Will have to get a first half goal to silence the crowd like we did in Dortmund last year.

Obviously, chances are we will fail to progress. We need a high-scoring draw or a win, both of which are unlikely. Is it impossible? Surely not, but very improbable. This forum always suffers from the same sort of reverse cognitive dissonance -- the unconscientious belief that we actually did better than witnessed in real life, or provided the framework to achieve better results than expected. But at the end of the day, the reality is that we set ourselves up for disaster, just like not following through in the group stages. Judging by some posts here, it's almost as if we won 2-1. But this may speak to a larger issue of how we found a niche as a pretty good big club, but still nowhere near the likes of Bayern or Barca. It's now a joyous occasion drawing at home after scrambling 2-0 down, very similar to watching Swansea City turning the tide against Liverpool or something.

I don't know what to think of this game. The first half and most of the second was horrific. After that, it was acceptable. Should we play as we did in the last 30 or so minutes we can score in Munich, but I am VERY skeptical as to whether we can keep a clean sheet there with the way things looked today.
But no matter what, let this be the last time opposition fans get to celebrate like that for any amount of time in our home ever again. That was disgraceful.

Well we clearly saw their attack as their greatest strength and their defence as their weakness and tried to minimise the attack by sitting deep while trying to capitalise on their weakness by looking for counters. Unfrotunately that didn't really pan out and our attempts at counters were guff. After half time the plan changed and we came alive.
I'd expect the same plan in Munich, but we obviously need to win.

Get your ass handed to you in the first 60 minutes and blame the referees. 
You'd think things were absolutely black and white, that one cannot say the referee screwed up, and the result was fair... Who the heck knows how a game turns out if the ref calls the offside on Muller's goal, or awards a penalty on Vidal's handball...
But the two things are not mutually exclusive (the 2-2 draw is a fair result, the ref made a couple errors).
Every single newspaper in Italy has headlines about the ref errors. Myself, I think only the handball and the offside were debatable, but again 50/50 type calls. When you see both, you think 1 should have gone your way. They didn't, whatever... but they're obviously contentious, hence the fact even newspapers that hate Juve are going on about them.
And at the end of the match, we had more chances, and more shots on goal than Bayern... SO let's not exaggerate this "ass handed to you" narrative... Bayern outplayed us for 60 minutes, but it's not like they created 10-15 chances or anything.
