Man, that was impressive. Guys played like bosses. They were calm and collected from the start, that's what I liked most. Everybody played in a very confident way, including fucking Sturaro! What a personality. I mean, they played like they should - knowing they belong there. Simply loved it!
Tevez didn't play well, but again was absolutely decisive. MoM has to go to him.
But as an overall performance, Vidal was a MONSTER. He pocketed the whole Madrid midfield. What a boss. Vintage display. Gotta love the guy!
Also Marchisio had a GREAT game, even if under the radar. He was almost perfect, and he was the one who found Tevez for the first goal and Vidal in the first minute.
Chiellini, Bonucci, Morata, they also did very well.
Sturaro deserves a comment apart. I was actually proud to see this guy. He was a fucking BOSS. Fearless. This is a kid who was a rotation player for Genoa a few months ago. I love his characteristics. Paratici may have found a gem here and probably a NT player for 10 years. He's an Italian stallion, pure strenght and grinta to go along with decent skills. Great athleticism. The goal he saved from James was epic.
Now Pirlo. Look, even when he plays well, he damages the team. It just gets too slow. And today he again gifted 2 balls which luckly didn't result in goals. He needs to hit the bench ASAP.
Now Allegri. Good decision: 4312. Good decision: playing Sturaro. Bad decision: leave Pereyra out. Bad decision: let Pirlo play the whole game.
I reaaaaaaaaally hope he can grow the balls to finally bench Pirlo. It's going to be vital at Madrid. But he keeps showing all the signs he won't do it. But he is the main responsible for the confidence these guys are showing in Europe. All praise to him.
It was beautiful. Now the primavera vs Cagliari please.
