I'd reset yellows after the group stage and before the final. If somebody gets a red card they'd still miss the first last 16 game or the final though.

Jesus so it runs from the group stage till after the quarters? Seems a bit long.
they want to avoid situations like Nedved 2003. if yellows would be reset earlier players could still get in positions to miss the final. i think thats the reason
Yup,
From group stage until the end of the 1/4's you suspended for every 3d,5th,7th...yellow card.
Then they reset,so you can't miss the final unless you got sent off ofcourse.

I don't get this! We should play 3-5-2 at home, a more defensive formation because of away goal.
How about we play 4-3-1-2 at home and score few goals, then defend there with 3-5-2?

I'd just scrap Yellow card bans in the CL any way ffs. Pointless. Especially nowadays where a yellow card especially for a combative midfielder is almost a guarantee in some games. It's not like a team gets some gigantic advantage by being allowed to rack up yellows, reds yes obviously but a standard yellow card ain't shit
