are we officially in the second tier of european football?Has italian football not changed?
Not sure what these "tiers" are but we're clearly quite a way behind the likes of Bayern, City and Pool currently. That said things can change fast in football so hopefully we can continue our good work on the transfer market and the team keeps improving.

Allegri said that there are ten teams ahead of us, he might be right there but I can't be arsed listing them.

Details make the difference at this level, and for some reason the details are never in our favor, which probably means we're not good enough. I don't like players apologizing, but I despise Allegri's lame ass comments and statements after humiliating losses - absolute cringe.
Yes, we've not been good enough when it has mattered in the CL. I think that after a painful loss like last nights you can only say the wrong thing so better to just keep it as short and basic as possible.

What about the clubs that are also ahead of in the table? We are down to 13 in front of us.

It's good that Allegri says that 10 clubs are ahead of us, that should mean we need changes in the summer.

    Rudiger/Bremer
    LB
    Pogba/Jorginho/SMS
    Gravenberch

Attack depends on what happens to Morata and Dybala

It shouldn't. With them we're having issues, let alone without them.

Every single position needs to be at least freshened up.

    Young GK to succeed Woj
Young RB and LB to backup Danilo and a new good LB
    Rovella to backup Locatelli
Two new midfielders of starter quality
    Zaniolo
LW to backup Chiesa and if Kean is leaving a new ST

We need at least 8 new players and as many current ones leaving. In 2 years we need to be able to change 98% of the current team

What is your guys opinion on Cuadrado as a Captain yesterday?
He wasn’t even ready in the tunnel pre-game and had to head back into the changing room to do something (I imagine urinating) which then meant the refs and every player had to wait for him.
Never really struck me as a leader, more of a chaotic, disorganised, happy soul.

His post-match comments about carrying out Allegri’s plan were curious.

Yeah, GK situation can be postponed IMO, RB problem sure but the leftside is worse, Cuadrado at RB is good.

The solution for some positions can be found with our youth, especially as backup players, the question is does Allegri trust them.

Rovella; Fagioli, Miretti, Soule, De Winter we have some good ones.

Locatelli, Mckennie, Zakaria, Gravenberch, Pogba, Fagioli/Rovella would be a good midfield IMO, and also realistic, especially if we sold Rabiot and Arthur.

Youth is great, but more than anything this team lacks a true leader inside the dressing room and on the pitch. Bonucci and Chiellini are not that anymore especially with them being out for the majority of the season. I look at our team and I don't see anyone on the pitch firing anyone up, or trying to take the game by the hand. This team truly lacks a Pirlo, someone who can dictate the play and install some confidence and calmness into the team during rough patches of the game. Most recent example of that is Modric, who singlehandedly turned the tie against PSG.

We have a bunch of mentally fragile individuals who collapse at the slightest adversity. It's also a mental block, we went through 3 eliminations against (on paper) inferior teams so there is this unnecessarily added pressure which is caused by fear of failure.

Could we have played better during the season? Absolutely yes. Would any coach in the world have gotten better results, especially with our 2 main attackers out for the majority of the season and a continuous injury crisis? Most likely not. We should have won yesterday, but let's not fire the coach again based on one game.

Milan, Napoli do not have a better team. Neither do Villareal, Ajax or Seville. Max flopped and flopped badly. He's just trying to deflect the blame on the quality. He needs to go.

This Juve collapses when it concedes first.
Because our attack strategy is to cross to the infinite, hope we score first and then defend like there is no tomorrow(throw a few counters in there probably).
That is a piss poor plan A, and thats what we do, if it fails then the players know they are fucked up. There is no propositive game plan. You get out Cuadrado and the squad yesterday would have given more pity. :sergio:
