This was always going to be a draw or a loss, thank goodness we didn't need a win because obviously we aren't good enough to beat Atletico at home.

We will have a difficult time advancing no matter who we draw, so the calls for Real are quite silly.

no one really wants Real. everyone would probably be more than happy with Monaco for example, even Porto. its about who would you rather have, Real, Chelsea or Bayern. everyone would pick Monaco or Porto before Real

Porto could beat us just like Benfica did last year. Monaco has a lot of experience. Neither would be easy.

Chances are we go out next round.

We had Conte on the bench last season..... and that was a BIG con.

Now with Allegri, this teams could be ebaten....unlike last season that we went out with zero gameplan and shitty tactics. I would not count us out that easily...unless is real or bayern

no opponent is easy at this stage, especially when you finish 2nd and have to go against group winners. whoever we get it will be a real fight

If Olympiakos can defeat you, you barely get a win against them at home and you fail to even threaten Atletico's goal home and away then there should be every fear of porto or monaco. Ofcoarse they should be easier than the big guns

We have a bad mentality in europe and that did not yet change.

I think the mentality is now fine actually.

The problem now is skilful attacking players.

I don't think that Monaco has a lot of experience. It would be my preferable team to draw by far. They are only through cause they were in an easy group. They just sold their best 2 players in summer and while they have a nice midfield, that's pretty much they have. Mediocre is the term that defines them best I would think.

What signs of improvement are there? Even in our best performance against olympiakos we were nervous and wasteful in attack and defense and almost threw the 3 points. We have not done anything extra in the CL this year than the last. The difference is that this same match last year was played in two days on a terrible pitch and a worse environment which ruined the match and we conceded in the last minutes of the game. The difference between both years is that last minute goal from sneijder.

I think we need to beat a big team to recover our 2012 attitude.

IN the firsy Oly game, we were still with the shitty mentality and tactics from last season.

Atletico can beat Porto and Monaco if they want.

 it's so bad to play like scared children at home in a decisive game, and this was one of our worst performances and had we conceded the whole forum would call it one of the worst games we played all year, but since the result went our way it's all good and dandy. I dont care to grind out results or lose if we actually try and play with balls(not to be confused with playing attacking football), but we were psychologically defeated from about the 20th minute on.
