Zala's sub was good too. Davids got injured and since it was the last sub, we needed a striker, and between one that hasn't scored in 3/4 and another who scored 3 goals in the last 2 games, Lippi obviously opted for the latter one. Also the fact that Zala is stronger and therefore can hold the ball better for the team to go up and attack was probably another factor. Unluckily this tactic did not work out, even though theoretically it was a good idea.



What is so lucky about a guy who makes a good decision? So why isn't he unlucky when he loses? In a one legged final, it's the players who make the game not the coach. Surely enough Montero's LB position is questionable, but I trust Lippi had a good reason to do so.

People should stop complaining about our coach, but more on the players who did not deliver.

Regarding the selection of Zala over Di Vaio, it was wrong !!!
Marco is the better forward, you know it, I know it, and LIPPI KNOWS IT !!!!

Its questionable coaching decisions that piss me off, Di Vaio should have been in there. And the lack of attack when Milan is down to 10 players really aggravates me, WE COULD HAVE WON IN REGULATION TIME !!!

Yes I do think Di Vaio is better overall than Zalayeta, however, at that moment we probably needed a strong presence in attack like Zala to hold the ball and let the whole team go up. Also objectively Zala has been much more on form lately than DV so I think that it was fair enough to have Zala in the squad.

Another thing is that Roque Junior wasn`t injured yet, so if the sub of Davids had come after RJ's injury, Lippi might have played DV then.

My very personal opinion is that zalayeta cant be compared with divaio, cuz div is very skilfull. Sadly the divaio that play in juventus is a shadow of the one that played in parma.

But what i have to admit about zala, is that this guy really put his soul on the field. When he is defending, he always fight the ball, run , run , and run the whole field. This is something that i praise a lot in a player, the fighting spirit. If only zalayeta was a "special", he could be the dream striker.

But i think that he have potential, but he needs lot of games.

Hydde same here! IF I was asked right now who I would have wanted to play in the final between DV and Zala I would obviously say DV! But at the time Zala was in better form.

Zala may have been in better form but Di Vaio suited the occasion more IMO. The latter is a much better penalty kick taker and could've offered an outlet on the left hand side, which is where the helpless Roque Junior was operating for Milan. Surprisingly Juve didn't even try to attack down his side.

Sincerely...... 100% , i would have chosen divaio without thinking twice.Mainly because i have blind faith in him.

Like i said before... i saw something different in him... in the scudetto match.. i dont know.. i cant say why... but when he scored that goal... i had a good feeling about him.

Who knows... maybe he could have scored the winning goal in that game...and right now we could have been the champions of europe.


Oh god,,, i still cant blieve how we missed a chance like that....taking in consideration how difficult is to reach a final... maybe we will have to wait 10 years more to another one!!!.
