He has an extremely athletic body, no one comes close to him in that aspect . This is probably true not only for today's players but throughout history. Gullit had the athleticism but it's nothing compared to Ronaldo.
I know, but a strain is going to need some healing time regardless of who you are. But perhaps the news was a bit exaggerated and it was only a minor strain to begin with.

PSG doesn't do CL finals.

It's been a rumour the last three years or so.
It's an understandable rumour. PSG need another superstar and after so many successful years at Real, they might be scared he'll start his inevitable decline soon. Imho the way Ronaldo is still playing today I can see him play at this level for another 3-4 years. But we have to be honest and admit that you never really know when a player starts his (physical decline) and Ronaldo already is showing (minor) signs. Just compare YouTube compilations of him this season to compilations of 2010 or 2011, I know which is the more impressive player...

While him going to PSG would make a lot of sense, I still haven't seen anything that suggest that the rumour is more than the usual media BS. I agree, I easily think he should be able to play at this level another three seasons, which is basically why I was questioning X's post. His physical decline so far is almost non-existent.

Career winding down, can't take secondary role at big club
I don't see him taking a secondary role at a big club neither. But don't you think he has around three good seasons left in him?

It has been, but the reality is he's 31 and you just don't know when his decline will start. And when it does Real would have a very messy situation on their hands. I can see why they'd want to get rid of him before it ever happens.

The problem for Real, I guess, is that there isn't exactly a suitable replacement out there. While Barcelona would be fine without Messi, the same can't be said for Madrid. So selling Ronaldo now would leave them decimated.

Because Juve will dominate and win the next 3 or 4 CL.

Max didn't renew his contract for nothing, he's on a mission gents.
Best answer. :D

They'd have to reconstruct their entire team.

Hazard has been linked with them forever and he'd do well there imo, but his goal production is mediocre. Apart from one great season at Lille he was never a goal machine.

One could say he's kinda overrated. :agree:

I had a feeling you were going to mention Hazard. :D He might do well there, but he surely ain't the solution to the upcoming Ronaldo problem. Reconstructing the entire team may be the right thing to do, but Real Madrid usually tries to buy their way out of problems. I could see them just splashing a lot of cash on the best available player in a few years.

He's the only replacement they can get. Pogba is a midfielder and we're never letting him go, Neymar is Barca's. I just don't see other big names that would make sense.

Not when he plays like last season.
