Did you see how they kept the ball when under pressure and didnt just hoof it back to Bayern to have another try? This is what Allegri said we must learn how to do. We would have protected our 2 goal lead if we knew how to do this.
are we gonna blame Max for the Evra dribbling?

Yes, its actually great Allegri sees these things and names them. One of his best parts, its to analyse what can be improved. Extremely important for a good tactical coach.

People can stop playing down simeone's tactical skills aswel. He got the result against the team that counters their playstyle the most

just stop it ffs. he didn't adjust shit. and so didn't pep - and thats exactly why they won. because pep doesn't learn.
Simeone adjusted how they played when they recovered the ball, and how the defence had to act in certain situations, and got it completely right

Guardiola didnt make a mistake either(in his preparation). They are best when they face a team that loves to contain. So he played that way. Simeone adjusted his defence.

Guardiola failed to act on this during the game, but they did created chances, so its a 50-50

:agree: Its a great quality in Allegri. He identifies problems in our play and he works on them. I also like how he shares his analysis with the press. Makes me look forward to seeing what he will say rather than the generic FM-style post match talk that most coaches give.

your blind love for simeone is unreal. i feel like you support the wrong team.

and yes.
How can you dislike Athletico if you support juventus ? Both teams are all about excellent organisation and breaking the opponents playstyle, and attack in the most efficient way when retaining the ball.

We have more class, they have more warrior, but the intention is exactly the same.

Yeah and the funny part is we knew how to do it last season. Hopefully Allegri restores that ability for this new team, otherwise we're going nowhere in Europe.

I would call that giving credit where credit is due. You are the only person I have ever talked to who wasn't impressed with Simeone's coaching abilities. I would say you are unusually blinded by hate towards the guy. I don't even like Simeone as a person. He never played for a team that I like and I never watched him closely as a player to admire his player days (like Ronaldo or Totti for example).
