One could argue that Platini's 3 consecutive golden balls were the most impactfull performances a player has ever made in a time period of 3 years.

On the other side, that juventus team delivered like 6-8? starters to the 1982 world cup winning azzurri

But this is why i love golden ball's like the first of Ronaldo de lima, and Nedved.

Players who absolutely wrecked it, regardless of their teammates

It's just plain wrong.

And yeah, Portugal dint 'keep missing clear-cut chances'.That game was reminiscent of the Juventus-Milan CL final in 2003.Both teams cancelled out each other.

Yes I know this forum hates Spain and Barça (so do I) but being rational would help.

I really wanna know what would have happen if we won the CL in Berlin. Who would have been on the podium? Maybe one of our player, or maybe none?
And would Allegri be crowned as the best Manager or just included in the list with no award? Or not included at all?

The system favors Spanish cocksuckers (see Mr. Rational few posts above), so it would be the same as far as the individual awards are concerned.

Wining the treble and not having a single player on the podium would have been criminal. And Allegri not winning the best manager award.

IF that happaned, I would ask: How on Earth can you win a treble, and not having a single player in your team that is among the top 3 players in the world, and at the same time not having the best manager in the world :lol2:?

They probably think we came close to wining the treble by having an average team and random coach.

Allegri would've been named best coach without a doubt.

But I do think we wouldn't have had a Juventus player on the podium as it hugely favours goal-scorers.
Buffon would've been the closest to make the podium.

When Inter won their treble, no Inter player made the podium either.

The real problem is people always want to sound smart. And they do so by stating outrageous things, which make them look more intelligent than others. Pundits in particular had a nasty habit of referring to Xavi as the real heart of Barca. At one point everyone was cumming over Iniesta too. And while they are most definitely decent players, the truth is it is very easy to see which Barcelona player is best.
decent players? :D have you watched spain when they dominated? Xavi and iniesta in their prime were level below just two players Ronaldo and Messi, which is kind fucking great level, when you think of those two probably will go down as one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

Sorry, no.

2010 was mostly known to be somewhat the pinnacle of lack of organisation and defence. He scored alot of goals, both in spain and CL. Untill they met Inter, in wich he completely chocked both games.
At the world cup, he was just bad. Not that Iniesta and Xavi behind him. Against germany, again the first organised team they met, he was nowhere and argentina got a 0-4.

Meanwhile, Xavi and Iniesta were excellent all season, where giving Inter a very hard time in the semi's setting up more then enough chances to get that second goal.
With spain, tore trough the opposition and got the title.

The performance of Xavi and Iniesta, were better then messi who scored a record amount of goals, but was abscent when it mattered the most. The other two didnt. Ergo both should have ended above Messi.

When nedved won it, Zidane and ronaldo would have won it instead by todays standards
Have to spread, but

Well, yes. But they are still a level below Ronaldo and Messi, both in terms of sheer quality and consistency.

Consistency? Xavi was probably mr consistency. And level below in what? scoring - yeah, but dictating tempo or taking the game over not so much of a difference when they were at their peak.

Yes Messi and Ronaldo are better players overall, but in terms of impact on the team Xavi was a major major part of the barcas success. And in 2010 year he was better imo then ronaldo or messi.

LOL

Any argument against Messi and Ronaldo is going to be stupid anyway, because we all know that scoring goals is by far the most difficult part of football.

If we're specifically talking about 2010,

Ronaldo definitely dint have his best yr mostly because of injury.I would say Xavi had a better year especially with the world cup win.

Iniesta was also injured for most of the season and he only turned up in the world cup.

If not for the world cup,i would've had Messi #1 that yr but because Xavi was a big part of Spain's success in the WC,i would put him #1.

My top 3 for 2010 would be
Xavi
Messi
Sneijder

Xavi is incredibly overrated by people who get caught up in tactics and witchcraft. He's a good player and he was fundamental to both Barcelona's and Spain's success, but now he's gone and Barcelona is better than ever, because they have Neymar and Suarez, who are both a lot more talented than Xavi ever was and offer 10 times the end product he ever did.

This incessant masturbating over this type of player has to stop.

But Zach has convinced us that he was their main player and they won't be the same without him.

And he will never concede that he was wrong even when it becomes clear that he is. Messi is still the best player in the world, even after Xavi left and Iniesta stagnated.

I'm not sure if he ever conceded he was wrong about Lewa(Crapa)ndowoski.
