Jup's bayern was the best team of the past decade. The current bayern isnt even close.
Trashing in the league isnt the same as facing a worthy opponent in europe.

Juventus has improved alot. Lets see how much bayern lost

Cant wait for bayern to remove that cancer. So I can be happy if they win again if the opponent isnt juve
Guardiola stole three years of success from a collection of great players and didnt add anything to bayern
Bayern has been won the cl and bundesliga before him and their players are the best form but his tactic doesnt suit for a team like bayern as you see vidal doesnt answer(one of players that guardiola asked to buy) they also lost showanstiger because of guardiola

Last yr's Barça

And Barça of 2011,

Both these teams are better than Jupp's Bayern.
lolwhat

I remember seeing the games of the second half of the season when the team was complete and fully gelled and absolutely invincible.
Seeing take their opponents apart, i kept wondering how on earth any team was going to counter that. What could overcome this perfect machine ?

It is now that i realise Guardiola's greatest coaching achievement. He neutered the best bayern in history, and got away with it

Complete stockholm syndrome where the captain openly desires him to stay. That captain who was an awesome fullback and a decent midfielder.

Congratulations @paulpogba! #TOTYChampionsLeague"
The team of the year and Ballon D'or list are the greatest evidence that hype is necessary for being considered amongst the best and that a good agent (Raiola) is very important for a player to gain recognition.

Vidal is suddenly a candidate for every list despite being in very bad form last year and having contributed barely anything to Juve. Contrast that with the vidal from previous years that would score 15+ goals regularly, was a beast in both serie A and Europe and yet never got recognized for his amazing work.

Similarly, Tevez, Marchisio and Bonnuci were criminally left out of every list when they definitely deserve to be there. Instead you have the likes of Pique and Ramos (at least he had great seasons before) regularly featuring on every list. Even Pogba is there because of the hype rather than because he had great CL performances. Marchisio would be more deserving.

Yeah, Bonucci was at least in the top 3 best CBs in Europe last season and was obviously better than Ramos and Pique.

Bayern 2013 is really overrated here.I mean yeah, they are definitely among the best teams I've ever seen, but that's the key: among. They scraped through against Arsenal on away goals, had Guardiola's Bayern or Barca done that we wouldn't hear the end of it.

There is no reason for people to dislike or hate that Bayern due to certain players, coach or even animosity about how highly rated said club been for past decade, so that Bayern, however fantastic and menacing it was, tends to get overrated and deified as a way to use ammo against those you dont like.

That Bayern team was an amazing direct counter attacking team, very mobile and hungry. But very few ever mention their limitations and Heyneckes tactical flaws, if it was a closed down affair requiring flexible solutions, he had little to no ideas. Plus the true greatness of a team is shown by dominating for a fair bit, which they hadnt in Europe. They grew to that machine that year by continously failing for years in last hurdle of CL. Heyneckes was losing his job because of it. They were hungry and experienced from 2 CL final losses in just the few years before, and just clicked in an immense level with their approach when they finally triumphed. But they werent as consistent and as encompassing totally dominating team to be proclaimed the best one seen for sure. The older Barca with prime Xavi-Iniesta-Messi was more impressive and dominated for longer period to be so off handedly branded as inferior to that Bayern in general. Not to mention last years one is also more intimidating then that Bayern due to that insane attack. Also funnily enough, besides being more possession based, last years Barca's approach and Heyneckes Bayern are fairly similar...very direct counter attacking menace that just hustles physically while waiting around to punish you on the break. Luis Enrique defenitely found his own formula.

Both those Barça teams on a technical level were better than Bayern 2013.I wouldn't even talk about the individual quality as its clear for everyone to see. Both 2011 and 2015.
I mean we're talking about generation defining players here.

Bayern as good as they were in 2013 were fortunate enough that yr to have a Barça in decline(with Messi injured) and a Madrid in turmoil. As mentioned, they were just a very hungry team that yr after having finished as 2nd best in every competition the previous yr.
Also the funny thing about that season was Robben, who was their best player in my opinion in the latter rounds was benched for most of the season initially until Kroos' injury.

For me,when we're talking about great teams, you also talk about the greatest players of that era.Weaker defense or not , Barça had/have been dominating the competition for a longer stretch with era defining players long before Bayern even got into top gear.

Talking about convincing CL wins, Barça last yr beat the French champions, English champions, German champions and finally Italian champions en route to their CL victory. It doesn't get more convincing than that.

I dint want to post it initially because instead of a healthy discussion there'll be lame and petty insults as usual.
