De Rossi says: “Let us not forget we are missing fundamental players, but it’s reductive to talk about them, especially as many have been out for such a long time.”

So Roma was missing Maicon, Strootman, Castan...

Bayern was missing Robben, Martinez, Schweinsteiger, Alcantara...

What's with Roma acting as though they have such an injury crisis? :shifty:

under Mackenzie king bridge bro.

if u stop hating on roma for one pathetic hateful second, you would see they were accually amazing vs bayern tonight. even the game they lost at home, they only lost because of luck.
:agree: It was all down to rotten luck. I saw that everywhere Roma players stepped, the turf was damaged by moles tunnelling, whereas Bayern players somehow only stepped on the good sections of turf. Even in the Rome match.

I'm trying to recall the last time a Brazilian striker topped the CL top scoring list and damn, it's taking me back to Romário days. It's been that long. Hope he keeps it up and gets the so needed number 9 role at the Seleção.

BA the Bundesliga are only a point or two behind the EPL, they can overtake it this season if things keep going the way they are,
 I hope they do. A very well run league, with nobullshit mega-rich oil barons, classy fans, packed stadiums with amazing atmosphere. Every league should aspire to be like them. EPL has been in clear decline for the past 3-4 seasons IMO, the top teams aren't that strong anymore, only Chelsea can't compete against the likes of Bayern, Dortmund, Real Madrid, Barca and Atletico.

Juve struggle for sure, but City's outlay is designed to win the CL, not three (probable) group stage exits and one RO16 out of four campaigns. That's downright embarrassing.

When their first CL campaign started they already had these players in their squad (they had already spent £385m / €493m at this point building a team to win the Premier League):

GK: Hart, S. Taylor
DC: Kompany, K. Toure, Lescott
DR: Richards, Zabaleta
DL: Kolarov, Bridge
CM: Y. Toure, de Jong, Barry
AM: D. Silva, Milner, A. Johnson
CF: Balotelli, Dzeko, Tevez

They then have spent £282.4m, £142.9m net (€183m) bringing the likes of Aguero, Nasri, Maicon, Nastasic, Javi Garcia, Fernandinho, Jesus Navas, Negredo, Jovetic, Sagna, Fernando and Mangala to so far win 30 out of a possible 66 points in the Champions League.

Their record is truly disgusting put alongside anyone's.
