I actually don't care who we draw, it's a very difficult competition now when you see all the strong teams in there with so much money and years of planning. Maybe Monaco and Porto gives us a better chance to get through, but we'd almost certainly get a big team in the QF if we got past them anyway. No one remembers the RO16 and QF teams, the only benefit is money. In short we need to be big to win big.

While I do agree that messi's performances are not on par with previous years , stat wise he is still up there at the top . I wouldn't find it strange for him to be in team of the year .

Jardel was also scoring a shitload of goals back in the day, but no one cared cause they were mostly in the competition, or in the CL against minnows.


Taking a look at CL and competition, we see Zlatan hardcarrying PSG in france and CL untill he got injured. We see ronaldo's insane amount of goals everywere. We saw Diego Costa monstering for athletico. Luis Suarez who was amazing at liverpool etc.
