Oh I have and disregarding La Liga because no team in that league can defend. Its been a reaccurring pattern that in the Champions League when they face a team who can actually defend and have a tactical and organised plan they suffer and look clueless.
That statement is so overstated here. I think it's got more to do with Spanish teams having awesome attacks overall.

I'm not sure Barcelona, Real, Athletico, Seville, Valencia, etc. would find it difficult to score against the likes of Pescara, Siena, Bologna, Cagliari, etc.

Barca, would destroy Juve like they destroyed Celtic, Chelsea last year and Inter two years before :agree:
But do you really think we are going to play out like those teams did though ?

Especially Celtic's and Chelsea's triumphs over them revolved around pure park the bus tactics.

You named the worst teams in Serie A and the best of La Liga of course you'd expect them to score.

The top teams in Italy would destroy all of those you mentioned. Baring Real and Barca however Juventus are potentially a match for them.

I'd seriously doubt Barca could put 4 past Napoli as easily as they did against Athletico.

I don't think anyone can see others' infractions.
I think i misunderstood his post then.

The defending must be awful in all leagues, if a Spanish team each year(these past years)reach either the CHL final or EL final.

But they play in the same league, don't they? The same Bologna who scored 3 against Napoli a couple of days ago. And then you actually think Barcelona are not capable to score 4 past them. I don't think that make sense.

Let's leave Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid out of the equation as the difference in quality compared to their rivals is quite big.

Let's take a look at Napoli, Inter, Lazio, Fiorentina, Roma and Milan. Do you think that they're superior to Athletico Madrid, Malaga, Valencia, Seville and Levante?

The man rates Zarate FFS; nuff said :D

Spanish teams keep stuffing their opponents in Europe year in, year out. The only way to stop them is by deploying extremely negative tactics, getting all the lucky breaks, and somehow managing to hold out. Chelsea parked the bus and weathered the onslaught, while Inter got all the breaks on their way to winning their respective CL crowns in 2010 and 2012.

Id say they were about equal. Milan shouldn't be in that list, they're Serie A's version of Granada :p

Look without doubt Barca are the best team currently, they have some World Class players. What annoys me is the way Fred says they'll destroy us or Real would destroy us. Also when people say they're the best team ever when quite frankly our mid - late 90's team would've beat them comfortably.

Mourinho's Inter was the best opponent I've ever seen playing against Barcelona.
Yet, just like Chelsea, they needed all the lucky breaks to make it through to the final. I remember watching the first leg, and thinking how in the world did Inter manage to come out relatively unscathed, when they could have so easily been 3-0 down inside the first 30 minutes?!
