Higuain is more of a league player than a big match one. He has better off the ball movement than Benzema but he chokes way more often when facing the goal.
RVP>Tevez>=Aguero>=Suarez>Benzema>Higuain>Dzeko.
Neither Higuain nor Benzema deserve that starting spot in Madrid (compared to the quality of the rest of the squad). Madrid should go for Falcao.

Really liked the intensity they played with when playing that strong 4-3-3 in the first half.
They ought to have been out of sight, but Higuain messed it up, just for a change. I really can't understand why so many people think so much of him. His chance conversion rate isn't anything like good enough to be considered a top class striker.
Man City's more attacking players did a pretty poor job of holding the ball up in the first half when the rest of the team needed them to relieve the pressure. Tevez worked away, but it's very tough being a
lone striker against such athletic CBs. Silva just didn't offer anything like enough to the team. He's never going to do a lot defensively, but if he's not going to get on the ball and retain possession, there's really very little point in having him on the pitch.
Could see why Man City went to 3-5-2 in the second half, as - with the players they had - it was probably the only way that they could get someone tight to Ronaldo and still maintain the balance of their team. It also allowed them to get another forward on the pitch to given them a better chance of retaining possession.
However, the goals they conceded were poor ones to let in when playing 3-5-2.
Their midfielders were not anything like aggressive enough in stepping out to press or to help the wingbacks and that allowed the chances for the first and third goals. It's understandable staying deep and compact when playing with a back for, but once you get the extra CB in, the midfielders don't need to worry about protecting the CBs so much.
Benzema's goal, while very well taken, was poor from Nastasic. He's nothing like tight enough to start with (and CBs in 3-5-2 can afford to get very tight to the CF), which meant that when he had to quickly move across to close Benzema he was off balance and much easier for Benzema to get away from.

I added Aguero above too ... Cavani and RVP could well be part of that list but think they lack the "showing up for the big games" part, which for me is just about the most important thing in a WC striker.
Drogba, even at 34, belongs there too but didn't include him 'cause he took himself out of the football that matters.
