Why would you want them to win CL next year over Juve???????????
I'm not a Juve fan. And if there is any European team I'd be happy to see them lifting the CL is't BVB.
I also want BVB to win it to piss off Bayern, seein Hummels (A player that Bayern once deemed unfit to play for them) winning the CL would be Gold.

Actually I want a Juve-BVB final, just like the good old days.

I want us to win this time, sorry.

I mean I can't stand to see us lose another final.

We were the superior team in both 97 and 98, and extremely unlucky in 99 when that fucking piece of shit called Keane carried you guys to the final. We should've won that game at Old Trafford 2-0. We were so much better, but then Giggs equalized.

I wasn't around when we lost the final to Ajax or Hamburg, so I can't comment on those games, but against Milan in 03 we'd have won that game 99 times out of 100, had Nedved not been suspended.

 Uefa pls, even this year it made the game boring, I don't understand why they have to insist on keeping suspensions for the final. The teams have made it that far and it's only a one match series so the teams should be allowed to use all their players regardless of suspensions. Not to mention it's also the yearly top football event (besides WC) and they should make it as big of a spectacle as possible (it would also bring in more cash for them) so having suspensions is stupid.

Sorry man, but I don't think you were superior in 1997, BVB deserved their win. 98 is a different story though, Juve should've won.
About the semis in 99, based on the first game, Juve should have gone throught. But you can't deny us the credit to show all that character and strong mentality to overcome a negative home result and go and win in Stadio delle Alpi despite conceding two early goals.

We were far superior. We were undefeated the entire campaign, and should've disposed of Dortmund, like we always used to, back in the day.

Fuck Riedle and Ricken. Peruzzi had no business being so far out of his goal. After we pulled a goal back to make it 2-1, we were in the ascendancy. The 3-1 scoreline was very flattering to Dortmund.

As for 99, I guess it was your year. You managed to get by us in the semis, and then rode your luck, and showed great determination and character to win against Bayern in the final.

Our CL final record is a real gripe for me, the two trophies don't look enough and don't highlight our great pedigree in this competition. We have been in 7 finals.

We just don't seem to be able to do it in the final. Do you think our tendency to go so hard in the league season ends up affecting us, or just the mental side? Even the two we won, one was that final and penalty, and the other was on pens.

It'll be something of a bugbear and probably pressure on the club until we manage to win it again.

We were also undefeated in 2011 and we pissed on every team we played that year in the CL, and won home and away. But we couldn't hack it in the final. I think Juve against BVB was the same.
The Real in 98 was the one Juve fans should feel bad about the most.

Not cool man, i deliberately turned off the TV as soon as the game ended to avoid seeing such images :p
Same here. :( I was in a small restaurant/pub and left once Drogba scored his peno and went outside only to see a huge screen showing the game. So I ran and crossed the road hoping to get run over and forget the misery I'm in.

You should have kept it to see how lame the celebrations that Bayern had prepared for Chelsea in their arena. It was like winning Serie C2 or something.

And I thought you were happy with the Chelsea win with what they have done to Tottenham now :seven:

In 97 we were arrogant, Del Piero was coming back from injury, and I think we greatly underestimated our opponents. Once we woke up, it was too late. I remember that game well. Our defense was also quite suspect from set pieces. In 98, it was a combination of misfortune, an offside goal, and Madrid just seemed more hungry and up for it somehow.

In 03, we lost on penalties, and were missing Nedved, our creative fulcrum, and by far our best and most invaluable asset that season.

I feel that we have a mental block of some sort in finals (we also lost the UEFA cup final to Parma), and to overcome that hurdle, we must win the CL once again, and win it convincingly. A 3-0 against any opponent of choice, would do just nicely thank you :)

I guess our 97 was ur 2011. I still feel we should've won both those finlas though. A return of 2 titles after featuring in 7 finals is rather appalling.

They also had the worst cup lifting attempt ever.

Everyone's trying to push each other out of the way and get in front. Look at the way they stop Drogba from getting to the front, and Bosingwa totally screwing up the lift (1:48)
