It's true that Barca were hyped as high as their successors in that ugly blue&red shirt, but it was a sudden hype and not even close to deserved as today's one. Today's Barca at least deserves the fav tag. Milan were after all playing their 4th CL final between 1989 and 1994. Barca did have incredibly strong attacking players in Romario and Hristo, but they were far from being better than Milan elsewhere. You're right though that before the match, mostly due to Milan absentees, Barca were considered favorites, but not in the way Milan were clear favs in the '93 final or Juve in the '97 final.
Abate is injured, isn't he? He missed the last matches and iirc he's missing this one too.

I want the same thing too...90% of my friends love to suck on Barca's dick, and it's disgusting. Injuries for both sides, lots of controversies and I want Messi to get angry and punch someone so he would loose that "im perfect" image. Oh and Milan advance in penalties because Xavi, Messi, Iniesta miss their shots then Abbiati gets injured on the final shot.
