Sorry man. But your team gave us a show and deserve applause for that first half.
Ya, was a great first half. We gave everything in the first half and really had no legs left to play with the same rythme in the second half. Kudo's to Wenger for motivating the players for a game like this. Now we can focus on getting the 4th spot, and after the games against Tottenham, Pool and now Milan, i'm sure confidence levels are high.

Nocerino and Emanuelson's role tonight were a mystery for me. Van Bommel was a one man midfield and it was expected to be owned the way he was for a big part of the match. Milan won the qualification the moment Allegri put Aquilani on instead of an attacker.
he had no choice but start with that formation as Aquaman didn't have a full game in his feet - been out for what 2+ months now and just recently came back training. Aquilani was the only non-defender Milan had available for this game, apart from the ones that started it. Urby also played with a knock due to lack of other options.

And Allegri's plan was to play an attacking formation and score a goal, which would have practically ended the game, ... but of course that's not easy to do when the team lacks the necessary effort and concentration, in those first 25 or so min of the game when they went 2-0 down due to stupid mistakes.

Real will destroy Milan if they get them.

Congrats, acmilan.

That wasted chance of van Persie was :frown:
thanks, D.

wouldn't be so sure - tonight's performance had more to do with lack of motivation and effort than anything else ... it would be a very diff Milan facing real or Barca than the pathetic team I saw tonight.
This being said, Real and Barca are a level above anyone else at the moment but anything can happen over the course of 1-2 games.

Fred: Well done :) You should be proud of your team tonight, at least the first half, second half was a bit more even. Shame on that injury on Ox though, he's an interesting player.

Not just based on what I saw tonight. I see Mourinho winning the CL this season with Real.

And IMO it would be harder for Milan to win against Real than against Barca at this point. Any other team will probably be a win-win situation for Milan, but hey, it's CL and you just never know.

:agree:, I also think Real would be the more inconvenient opponent of the two. But lets wait and see what lady luck brings our way.

I won't ask you about the other matches because I can guess your answer, but as a Milan fan and before the draw takes place...who would you want to qualify from Napoli-Chelsea and Inter-Marseille?
