You're spot on. But winning against bad/average teams win you the league, you don't actually have to beat the top teams if you're consistent against shit teams.
Definitely.

I just don't see him as one of the best strikers in the world. He's overrated but that doesn't mean he's not good he's far away from being close to top 10 strikers.

Congrats on the qualification, man.

The arrogance did cost you. If not elimination, then it cost you all a lot of nerves.

Milan can go far. The draw will decide a lot, of course, but with Aquilani, Boateng and Nesta back (and someone to replace the Lecce guy), Milan can do very well against everyone bar Barcelona.
Milan are definitely out in the next round regardless of the opponent.

Milan owns this competition and should not be written off no matter who they're up against, even if it's everyone's favourite team Barcelona.

Not to mention how this season he did very well against big teams too. He was excellent against Barca+scored and he completely destroyed Arsenal in the first leg with great play, two assists and a goal.

I wish we had a player in Juve who can win us scudetti and take us to a CL quarter. In the last 5 years we didn't have such a player.

No single half decent team in the league that Zlatan has played half decent against. No wonder Milan can't beat good teams.

Yes, Ranier's Inter too. They once did it conveniently ;)

I forgot to put money on Milan, so no need to thank me :D

thanks, mate

tell me about it, I was very nervous about this game and constantly reminded everyone about Deportivo  ... but what can I say, this is my Milan - gifts some of the most amazing displays by a team, but at times makes me wish the ground would open up and ... you get the picture :D

Hope we get some players back, tonight we really lacked the calmness and experience of players like Nesta and Seedorf but the main problem for this game was in the preparation ... luckily, didn't turn out to be fatal.
Actually, trying to be the optimist I usually am, this defeat can help the team a lot by bringing their asses to the ground.

Barca , Real , Bayern all teams that can beat this milan . If Napoli is in top form they can beat milan too . Too sum it up , i think there is a 50-50% milan passes the quarterfinals , but a 10% chance they pass the semifinals and a 0,1% chance they win

The scoreline flatters Arsenal. They looked good because Milan were so poor. They just sat back and let Arsenal do their thing. And to top it off, they made 2 huge defensive mistakes and conceded 1 soft penalty. Arsenal DID NOT deserve to go through.

Nocerino and Emanuelson's role tonight were a mystery for me. Van Bommel was a one man midfield and it was expected to be owned the way he was for a big part of the match. Milan won the qualification the moment Allegri put Aquilani on instead of an attacker.
