Badstuber: "Italians are hot heads. When losing, they start diving. Cavani was down before I touched him."
Germans are all racists, when seeing someone of a different enthicity they immediately allocate a racial stereotype.....or you know, gas them

Milan were awful in the league that season, so yea, the team around Kaka was not really good at least considering their performances in the league. It's true that no player can win a CL for a team single-handedly but Kaka was the main reason why Milan won the CL that year and there were games when it was only Kaka actually performing in the team.

Kaka was their best player for sure, and indeed Milan weren't that good in the league, but Kaka wasn't as good in the league as he was in the CL, he wasn't even the best player in the league that season, but he along with players like Pirlo, Nesta and Gatusso were all amazing in the CL.

That being said, i strongly doubt they'd have won the CL without him that season, he was indeed their best and most important player in the CL.

Milan had a very good team that year in terms of quality - hence their winning the CL - but not in terms of depth, which, along with the departures of Sheva, Stam, and Cafu being constantly unavailable due to injuries, and lack of investments by Berlusconi, made it obvious to everybody that they had to choose between Serie A and CL.
Add to that the Calciopoli credit Inter was enjoying from the refs, the money Moratti was poring into Inter (i.e. Ibra), it didn't take a math degree to figure out the obvious outcome of a simple calculation - focus on CL, while in serie A do just enough to qualify in the top 4.

All in all, Milan had a very good set of 11-12 players, which was enough - bar any injuries - to do well in the CL, but not enough to perform consistently at a high level between Serie A and CL games.
As for Milan not winning the CL w/o Kaka, the same could be said about Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf, Maldini, Nesta and especially Inzaghi, so ... in the of the day, no player is bigger than his team :)

oh, and did I mention

Fuck Barca!

Excluding the last sentence, I disagree with pretty much everything you said there :D

:agree:

When someone says 'singlehandedly' it means could never in a million years win it if not for that player.

hoori is like your wife(or potential one) it's much easier and judicious to just agree with her
