true, but see thats the difference milan is the kind of team that will grind out results, chelsea just isnt
Well, but Valencia almost beat Barcelona a couple weeks ago at Mestalla and Barca had to go back to catalunya with 1 point, we played badly against Leverkusen and still won 2-0. Valencia is not a piss poor team not at home anyway.

I agree that our team looks incapable of grinding out results like lets say Manchester United who keeps going on and on till the final whistle.

I said I did watch a little. That Barca game is ONE result and Real Sociedad got the same one and theur results in their league are even better than Milan's. Chelsea also got a 2-0 against Leverkusen as opposed to Milan's 2-0 against who, Pilsner? Overall, Chelsea has the better results. So if we watch results, Chelsea. If we watch play, Chelsea (debatable then, since I haven't seen every single minute apparently). On paper, Chelsea.

i dont see how you concocted that first conclusion from your argument so tying valencia is the same as tying barca? right that makes a lot of sense. As for plzen(they didnt play a beer), they beat roma to get here, not as weak as you d think. As for your second conclusion, well you know whats wrong with that one.

valencia today was bad, banega lost almost every ball, soldado and feghouli were just abysmal, they only really woke up after piatti came on. Now i dont know how this chelsea team will shape up in the next few months, but if they stay like this not only will they be out of CL they wont even be top 4 in england imo

Where did I imply that? I didn't even mention Valencia. Btw, I'm including league results and not accounting for the fact that Serie A is weak ass these days.

I'm saying you should get over that one result because otherwise, Sociedad is better than Milan. One draw with Barca doesn't crown you as the 2nd best team off all time.

Beer team is not better than Leverkusen though, so Chelsea wins then? But no, one singular result is not a convincing argument. Chelsea have been getting better results more consistently.

we are talking about europe and not league results, if that was any indication man city would be doing a lot better than napoli especially since as you said serie A is weaker. Anyhoos this is all moot since you;re commenting once again on a team you only 'see' on paper

I don't think we'll go far in CL this season anyway. But out of the top 4 is overreacting Imo, Arsenal are no better, nor Tottenham or Liverpool and if things are going badly come january i'd expect signings.

Now, there are some things that I don't like of the team so far, I think Ivanovic should be our starting RB and Luiz and Terry our CBs, Lampard is past it, Malouda is starting to decline, Drogba is 33, while Kalou and Mikel are average.

We're at the end of a cycle and its time for rejuvenation. Mata and Meireles are steps in the right direction. Torres needs to start playing football, Sturridge looks promising too. but all in all I don't see us winning something of note 'till we get our team sorted out and that will take a couple seasons imo.

And your argument is one, unconvincing DRAW where they could have well lost 5-2.

Fine, you think for whatever strange reason that Milan is a better team than Chelsea. But don't give me the BS about results. Milan have been ass and one result doesn't change it.

Anyway, if Milan goes further than Chelsea, feel free to rub it in my face.

pool and spurs will continue to put pressure, and like you said as chelsea is older it will run out of steam, anyhoos still too early i said this would be the case if they continue like this

Ooh wee, people are taking that draw with Barca a bit too seriously. Have you seen them in Serie A? They are Zlatan +10 and we all know about Ibracadabra and his disappearing act in the CL knockouts. They don't have the midfield to compete with Barca, Real, Man Utd., Chelsea, City, Bayern and others.
Completely agree. Anyone of City, United, Chelsea, Real and Bayern would beat this Milan squad.

i d rate milan higher than chelsea
Strongly disagree. Milan would be run over by Chelsea. As poor as Chelsea have been, Milan really are no better. The result against Barcelona was more due to the former's shortcomings than to anything great Milan did, they were outplayed all game long, but Barcelona didn't kill the game off, credit where credit is due though, they did take their chances and played without their star Zlatan, but wait for the game in San Siro, they will be outplayed again and for sure won't get the 3 points.

Milan's midfield is too slow for Europe. I said it before and i'll say it again. Milan won't go further than the 2nd round, unless the draw is really kind to them.(read if they play someone from Porto's group)
