you make it sound like Mou had it very hard under Moratti writing all sorts of checks and whatnot - they may not have spend 30-40 mil on a player but Allegri has been fed a virtually dead team and made them champs. And then he gets Aquillani and nocerino ... come on man, you know better - just look at Mou - always top talent to work with anywhere he went. btw, Lucio and JC were already top players, mind you.

JC wasn't the best, as I said. Lucio always was very good, but he was passing for some shitty years before he joined Inter. Him and Sneijder are good examples of Mourinho's great works with picks/players. I really appreciate the job Allegri did with Abate and Prince, by the way, and also the way he's keeping Cassano (and Ibra) on the lines. Allegri is not getting WC players (except Ibra), but neither did Mourinho at Inter or Porto. He has to create them. Allegri created very good players so far, not champs. Mourinho is the one who has been creating real champions.

How do explain Avram Grant and that he did better than Mou in one year at Chelski than the Portuguese did in 3 - and yes, Ag would have won the title if not for Mou's poor start to that season.
How about not being able to beet Rafa once in the CL with all the blank check Roman was signing?

Did he? In my books, Chelsea became a top club under Mourinho and Grant just got one phase ahead of him, CL-wise. I’d understand your statement if Grant had won that CL, even though it wouldn’t be completely fair to compare them just based in one failure of the big picture.

Are you talking about the semifinal against Liverpool? He can't always win, even though he kinda still wins everything. About the money, you have other examples in the same club who couldn't still win the CL and are WC coaches (Hiddink/Carletto).

you know what they call the claim of Mou making Abate a WC player - speculation, personified :)

Fair enough, but like I said, it was just a personal guess. I'd never thought Milito could be the best player of CL too.

I am pretty sure you caused a smile or a laugh to many here by mentioning the likes of Aquilani, Nocerino, etc there :p

Well, I didn't say those would turn into WC and Nocerino certainly can't do that, but Aquilani could become a very good player under him. Nocerino could improve, but he will never be anything special. Anyway, I already saw people bitching about Buffon and Chiellini on this forum, so why bother? I even add that Marchisio, the punchbag of the forum, is the perfect player to be developed by Mou.

Pirlo would have been sold under Mou too - he likes his teams hard and physical - the reason why he beat Barca and Chelski that year ... a slow Pirlo at the heart of a Mou midfield, I don't think so.
But it wasn't Allegri who sold Pirlo, it was Pirlo's age and salary demands and injuries - it's not like Allegri ever benched an inform, healthy Pirlo - he was out due to being constantly injured.

Maybe, maybe not. Even if he prefers physical players in his teams, I doubt he'd waste such a player. Salary? Again, why do Gattuso, Flamini, MvB, etc earn more than him and he took a paycut to join Juve? That’s nonsense to me.
I guess you don’t like him, but he’s already one of the best coaches ever and you know he’ll keep winning for some years. Allegri, on the other side, won the serie a with a team completely above his opponents (since Inter got problems). Mourinho won trophies against the sides of Manchester United, Barcelona or Bayern at their best form.

About your main point, the tactics, Mourinho doesn’t even need to be a tactician master, as he has WC people working in his shadows (Rui Faria, in this case). See it as a staff team (Mourinho, Faria, Silvino and Villas Boas before) or as a one man (Mourinho), but those guys rape Allegri every day of the week. Let Allegri win something special and then we can talk. I wouldn’t put my money on him, anyway.

That is a bit harsh, not saying I will go out every weekend. For me it will be an every now and again thing :D. I much prefer a good pub with good music/ over-age gigs.
