Do you think that the final match in London will be sort of a home match for United, or no? I remember the 1997 CL final in Munich, Dortmund was like a home team with most of the crowd supporting them.

Atleast their supporters won't have to travel far.

Jokes aside, of course it can have a little advantage but Barcelona are miles ahead of United this year in terms of form and players. Wembley is a wide pitch so that will play in Barca's hands aswell because Uniteds typical 5 man midfield in Champions League games will have more ground to cover and Barca can play it around them.

When you've got teams of Barca's stature they can beat anyone, anywhere. I think the game at the SB was alot more intimidating than playing at Wembley will be, considering they'll have half the ticket allocation aswell.

Because I didn't see the match, only the 2 goals and the 3 fouls by Real (Pepe, Marcello and Adebayor).
So I only talk about those 5 issues, I didn't say barca didn't deserve a red card, I didn't say they were damaged by the ref, I just talked about the two mistakes and the 2nd goal of Messi.
For the rest, I couldn't care less about the match or who wins it.

For me? Not really. United as a club and fans are scum. If I was a Madrid fan I would hate Barca like I hate United but I don't have to deal with Barca fans on matchdays. My opinion may change if City get Barca in the Champions League next year.

Better teams? Really? Cause I've been watching United play for years now, and I can't remember a time when the team had this much belief and refusal to be beaten.

Even the 1994 and 1999 teams which had that spirit didnt compare to this team, secondly the final in 2009; Fergie has already admitted to using the wrong tactics for it and this time we won't have Ronaldo trying to play the game for himself, Fergie has also said before he has "obsessed" over that particular game.

This team is also much better tactically than United's teams in the past were, Valencia for example is a much better player than Ronaldo is tactically.

And the last 2 games have shown that Barcelona aren't the all conqueroring team that everyone thinks they are.

I repeat, I'm not really worried about Barcelona in the final at all, I'm 100% confident that we can beat them.

I would have said he went for the ball too had his foot been placed differently. Even if he wanted to touch the ball lets assume, that's not how you touch the ball, that's called clumsiness.

That's how I see it as well. You don't go into a tackle like that. Even if you do end getting the first touch, on what is at the time a loose ball, you can't really do anything useful.

But does that make it a red card? I'd say yes, but then again I personally see around 3 or 4 red cards in each game, most of which aren't given...


Anyway, neither team "deserved" to win.

Xavi - A win for football
Barca playmaker hits out at Real's gameplan

Xavi has criticised Real Madrid's negative tactics after Barcelona took control of their UEFA Champions League tie.

Barca prevailed 2-0 in the first leg of the eagerly-awaited European semi-final, with Lionel Messi's brace giving them a lead to protect in next week's return match at Camp Nou.

There was nothing to choose between the sides in a fiery encounter until Pepe was sent early in the second half to leave Real with 10 men.

But Barca playmaker Xavi insists the Catalan club were good value for their victory after approaching the game in a positive fashion.

Xavi was less than impressed by Real's aggressive gameplan and was delighted to take revenge for the recent Copa del Rey final defeat.

"I don't want to talk about [Jose] Mourinho. I only want to discuss Barcelona," he told Marca.

"We put in a good performance and it's a fair result. This is a victory for football.

"We got the result that we deserved. We were again superior.

"We're a team that wants to play attacking football and have fun on the pitch.

"They [Real Madrid] are just hoping that we'll make mistakes. That worked in the Copa del Rey final, but not this time."

Xavi recognises that Barca still have work to do to secure a spot in the Wembley final and has urged his team-mates to stay focused ahead of the second leg.

He said: "The Barca players are very happy with the triumph but we still have not completed our passage to Wembley.

"The first test is passed but now it is necessary to finish the job at home."
