Just saw the 2nd half of the Inter match. Gareth Bale... WOW! Beat out Zanetti twice and BAM... goals! Amazing. We should sign him. Even if he's a let down, he's definitely better than that clown known as Ashton Kutcher!

Bale is really one of the best LW in europe, dunno the reasons why he was being played down here, but he has the means to be WC in some years imo.

Kinda makes the Giovinco > Bale argument rather silly.

Regarding the bold part, i wholeheartedly agree. :D
:howler: :sergio:

The one who is undeniably talented, with a better brain.

Damn, you remembered.
I never trust my memory. You were with me in this debate weren't you? :D

@Alen, both us and Chelsea will probably beat the likes of Sampdoria and Palermo by a 3 or 4 goal margin.

If Italian teams were so good, how come Samp got knocked out of the preliminaries? Mind you by the same team that were beaten and outclassed by the Tottenham side you claim Sampdoria is at par with.

My above statement is as speculative as the statement you made about the likes of Samp being on par with Tottenham, except evidence suggests my speculative statement is a lot closer to the truth.

I was definitely with you, I remember long discussions with JBF on the topic right around the time last season when Bale was tearing it up as a winger (the game against Arsenal possibly?).
The Chelsea game.

Ya thats what i remember, but your reaction made me have second thoughts. I distinctly remember you and me arguing with everybody how he's a Vargas or a Marcelo as fullback but excellent as a winger.

Are you facepalming at me or with me, facker? :D
With you. I agree with you, i'm facepalming at the Gio >> Bale :howler:

I won't downplay Bale's quality with what I'll say, but no way he was gonna score these goals, probably none of them, if the result wasn't as it was.
Come on, do you really think he'd have been allowed to make those runs and shoot? He'd have been fouled 5 times before he came 20 meters close to Cesar's goal.
He wasn't dribbling, he was simply running and the defender behind him always let him make the run, trying to win the ball instead of foul him.

I know Zanetti, Cordoba and Samuel very well to know that they'd have fouled him right away if the result was 1:0.
