Inter can't even beat Twente.

Whats your point?
Because you sum up in your posts how arrogant Premier League supporters are.

Inter won the treble last year, Arsenal have won nothing for 5 years soon to be 6 years thats my point.

I've never seen Neymar: Where can I see him?
Next time Santos are on I'll give you a link to my streams Sir.

@Alen, both us and Chelsea will probably beat the likes of Sampdoria and Palermo by a 3 or 4 goal margin.

If Italian teams were so good, how come Samp got knocked out of the preliminaries? Mind you by the same team that were beaten and outclassed by the Tottenham side you claim Sampdoria is at par with.

My above statement is as speculative as the statement you made about the likes of Samp being on par with Tottenham, except evidence suggests my speculative statement is a lot closer to the truth.
    These claims are pointless.

I beat my mate at golf.

    He beat his dad.

    His dad beat Paul Lawrie.

    Paul Lawrie beat Tiger Woods.

I, therefore, declare myself to be the best golfer in the world.

Did I mention how good Italian teams are? I only said how good the EPL teams outside the big 4 are.
    And they're no good.

I won't downplay Bale's quality with what I'll say, but no way he was gonna score these goals, probably none of them, if the result wasn't as it was.
Come on, do you really think he'd have been allowed to make those runs and shoot? He'd have been fouled 5 times before he came 20 meters close to Cesar's goal.
He wasn't dribbling, he was simply running and the defender behind him always let him make the run, trying to win the ball instead of foul him.

I know Zanetti, Cordoba and Samuel very well to know that they'd have fouled him right away if the result was 1:0.
    :agree:

your judging because of 1 game?

arsnal are an average team beating poor teams, who get outted by good teams later on
Follow the discussion. I was using Nicks logic. Nick said we couldn't beat Samp, because we couldn't beat West Brom. I used the same logic and said that Inter couldn't beat *insert any team* because they didn't beat Twente.

As for your last comment, i agree that we usually get spanked by the bigger teams, but we're real good against teams weaker than us, we can exploit that to our advantage, which is why we beat European teams heavily. I believe we'd do the same to a Samp or Palermo if we met them.

I won't downplay Bale's quality with what I'll say, but no way he was gonna score these goals, probably none of them, if the result wasn't as it was.

Cool. Except he's done the same thing to Chelsea's defense too. Sure he might not have scored a hattrick in normal circumstances, but he probably would have nicked a goal or two when on top form.

My issue isn't whether they are any good or not. My issue is whether they are better than Italian teams or on par with them. It is easily demonstrable that they are in fact not as good as English teams.

Ya thats what i remember, but your reaction made me have second thoughts. I distinctly remember you and me arguing with everybody how he's a Vargas or a Marcelo as fullback but excellent as a winger.
Yeah that's right, a list was constructed with players like those (and Bastos) who were much better wingers. It was irritating to see people put them as fullbacks in their "dream XI" when they were quite clearly a much better option elsewhere on the pitch. That actually irritated me quite a bit :D

Manchester United and Chelsea are top draw at times and they would bash the likes of Palermo and Samp.

However Arsenal would struggle I think.
Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester or Liverpool (when they were good) beating Palermo or Sampdoria 3:0 or 4:0 is not the question here. No-one doubts the superiority of those teams over Palermo.
The question is Aston Villa vs Palermo and Tottenham vs Napoli. Any EPL fan will laugh at the comparison while I'm pretty sure that at half of Palermo's's team will start for Villa and half of Napoli's team will start for Tottenham.

    Probably, or maybe.
But not tonight's goals. No way he'd have been allowed to come to a shooting position the way he was if the result was different.
He'd have to try much harder.

And for the record, I don't doubt that he has the quality to do it and to score goals to big teams.

Bah I hate this argument because we get nowhere. People who support Serie A will say one thing while who support EPL teams will say another thing. I just hate these arrogant we'll smash Palermo and Sampdoria 3/4 nil. It's baseless claims and totally unfounded.

I think alot of Arsenal fans think they're still this World beater team when in reality they're the fourth best team in England at the moment.

if Fred said Madrid and Barcelona or United and Chelsea I'll accept it but Arsenal.. I just don't get it. It'd be like me saying Roma could smash Tottenham by 3/4 goals.

Its not like that, however it gives you a good indication. I mean, Samp couldn't get past the preliminaries. Somehow i can't imagine Tottenham not making it if they played Werder in that same stage. The fact that they beat them then in real life, makes my speculation that much more credible.

My bad they drew. Lets wait for the game in England however, then my point will be valid, because theres no question that Tottenham will beat Werder at all.

I'm not playind down Bale, and i rate him a lot. But i actually don't remember much of that game, was Ferreira our RB? :D

I do recall Terry was sent out, though.
