Indeed, like the final :p Mourinho has been punished for insulting/disrespecting attitude to governing FA, like has been in Portuguese, English, Italian and English leagues. Nothing new, he is an instigating little arrogant turd. Busquets should deffo be fined/suspended somehow, but other then that there is nothing to take action against.

Right now, maybe there is not (even if I think there is), but during the matches there definitely was.
I don't even know where to start.....
...Van Persie gets a second yellow for shooting the ball after the whistle. Maybe he heard the whistle, maybe not, but he was red carded. The ref didn't even want to listen to him. In a video in the previous pages you see Messi shooting the ball with full force at the Real fans after it went out. The ref listens to him and doesn't give him a card (it was in La Liga I think, but I'm using it only as an example).
Messi pushes a player from behind and remains unpunished after he apologizes to the ref. Adebayor does the same the next minute and gets a yellow.

I can go on with this for a long time and the post will become huge. You should see what's my point.

You know, except Red, all of us here are fans of big teams and a Bari or a Stoke fan can tell us to shut up because our teams are always favored by the refs when they do the same things their "small" teams do. Even though it's not fair, we're used to that and we live with it. In CL too. Bate Borisov will never be favored when they play Liverpool/United/ Juve/ Arsenal/Milan/Barca. Even here we're used to it.
But I seriously never thought that in CL I'll see a big team over all the other biggies. Here we have such situation. Barcelona is favored even when it plays the big Chelsea, Milan, Arsenal, Inter or Real.

Please, we can agree or disagree on things, but painting things for how they werent is bit much some of these things. Messi's foul on Arbeloa (jumped up for heading duel, very late, and pushed him away) is NOT the same as Adebayor completely mauling down WWE style on Busquets. Its details like that gets skewed/twisted in the bigger picture. A minor thing like that becomes part of some big overlapping conspiracy, its bit ridicolous, when one saw these sitautions in own eyes recently, and not some fuzzy event long time ago.

And if you want to mention stuff like that, do it for both sides, Marcelo&Ramos were lucky to not been sent off in first leg, especially Marcelo's stomp. And Carvalho realized the ref was simply too afraid to make the deicisons needed in the 2nd leg, and fouled viciously enough to get 2 red cards, let alone one. I know for some reason diving gets way more attention then cynical wreckless fouling, but doesnt mean its forgotten.

You said some days ago that even Real fans don't attack Barca in XT as Juve fans here do, but I can put it differently: Even Barca fans in XT don't defend Barca the way Juve fans here do.

No, what Messi did was the same as what Adebayor did. Both maliciously made a foul and pushed a player. In 80 th minute Messi apologizes for the foul and he's excused. In 82nd minute Adebayor is yellow carded.
Exactly these small details show how much is Barca helped by the refs.

Now compare this with UEFA's decision to completely ignore and reject Real's complains about the complete lack of fair play Barcelona demonstrated.
Erm, UEFA have NEVER punished diving or "play acting" before - so there is no argument here at all.

UEFA gave no punishment for something they've never punished before, Mourinho frankly was lucky that he only got a 5 match ban - I was expecting a longer one.

Also, since we're all in "CONSPIRACY MODE", I bet Barcelona were behind Darren Fletcher's outrageous red card in the semi final in 2009 which made him miss the final.

Didn't they punish Eduardo?

I bet if it was SAF getting that ban you would be on the streets burning cars.

    Yes and no.

The charged him, found him guilty, but the decision was overturned on appeal due to a lack of evidence that Eduardo dived.

The framework, therefore, is there for retrospective punishments being given for diving.

What I would say, though, is that Barca don't dive that much (i.e. go down without any contact). What they do do, however, is greatly exaggerate any contact, but that is not an offence, as far as I know.

I'm pretty sure most normal people would be at the very least ashamed of themselves for acting like that in front of millions of people.
    You'd think so, yeah?

Honestly, though, okay I get the whole "winning at all costs" mentality, but really? Some of the shit happening on the football pitch these days, it's a wonder some of these players aren't ashamed to show their faces in public. I mean, just as men, they should be dead of embarrassment. Total lack of integrity and character that more than likely bleeds into other aspects of their lives.

Such a faggot. Can't believe from a time with players like Henry, Ronaldo, Raul, Zidane, Del Piero and Nedved and we went to call a player with this shit behaviour ''the best player in the world'' :sergio:
He is the best player in the world currently..but his class is no way near the past World Class players we have seen over the past few years..
Zidane is another class- one of the all time great, but the others are of a similar level- brilliant in there time.

Hopefully Man utd win the CL final. I would not want Barca that team full of whiners, actors, and divers to win it. Every time I see Barca players I keep looking for the sniper :gsol: that keeps shooting down Barca`s players. I am sick too of all the crap talk about `this is football` `beautiful football`by the commentators and the fans. The way they behave and conduct themselves on the pitch makes them look ugly. I have seen better football by Ac Milan in the early 90`s, and by Man utd in the mid 90`s, and both teams didnt gather around the referee every time a player got touched.
