I think they've actually got better at that this season. It's not great, but it is a start.

Of course things would be easier for them if Melo got the finger out and started giving them easier options.
It's slightly better, not much though.

To me it really makes a difference. Because defensively we are one of the best, but none of our defenders except maybe for Grosso can make 1 pass touch they all go for this option - shooting the ball wide.

Many people don't notice or don't even care but this makes a difference and changes the whole game. It becomes easier for our midfielders and easier to control the game

Chiellini for example, whoever gets close to him, you see him shooting the ball out wide, either to corner or sending the ball back to our opponents defenders.

I look at Man Utd, Chelsea, Barcelona...Vidic, Carvalho, Terry, Piq all these can pass play beautiful simple football even when they're under pressure, the moment you launch the ball out every 4min or whenever they attack you're giving them another chance to attack.

We've had this discussion at least once before. :D

I defend the defenders and you criticise them. This goes on for a while before we both get bored of debating it, but agree Juve are very poor at it.

This loss certainly is not ferrara's shoulders completely.

Its still a bit sad though. We were laughing at inter being dwarfed by the champions of the Europe, but we get dwarfed by the champions of France.

Yes but using Mourinhos reference, at least we lost to the champions of our group.

I was out and just came home, missed the CL matches today. But was surprised to see Bordeaux winning the game without Gourcuff. I really look forward to watching the replay, as i want to see how Bordeaux played without Gourcuff(normally they are completely clueless without him)

2- Our defenders should learn how to pass and calm down instead of shooting the ball out every single time they have the ball. For a successful midfield, you need defenders able to control the ball and make 1 touch pass instead of launching rockets whenever they're under pressure.
Someone (MELO) needs to give them better options for passes.

Its not so much the scoreline which has hurt us all, it is the manner of our defeat. The lack of spirit, organization, heart, tactical competence...both on the field and in the dugout.

The decision to field DP in Gio's position was appalling. Its a worse move, especially in such a high pressure fixture (for US), than using De Ceglie or even Tiago in that role. At least they can jog, or run, and are able to throw themselves in the way of opponents. What message does this give to Gio???? 'we dont trust you...DP hasn't played in your position for years, he isn't fit, has no match sharpness, is a sloth compared to you sebastian...but...he is more useful there than you!...'

I can imagine the resentment that is building up inside his mind.

Chucking Immobile into the mix was desperate. The kid has looked lively in his brief showings for the first team in the league...but this was not the time for inexperience. The team's interests would have been much better served by replacing Melo with Poulsen, and Camo with Marchisio, DP for giovinco...

Our problems were in midfield.

I adore Ciro for how he was as a player for us. But as a manager...he is doing worse than Ranieri. Indeed, it seems harsh to judge him so savagely, at this early point in his managerial career...but this is not the club to be learning your trade. Its the club for managers who have PROVEN themselves elsewhere, proven they deserve the chance to be The Boss of one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.

I can't help but get excited about the idea of Hiddink taking over, not after christmas, but now...for me, he is one of the finest footballing minds in the game. And he also has the capability of forcing a team to become cohesive and solid in a very short amount of time...His achievements with Australia, South Korea and more recently Chelsea, pay testament to my reverence for the dutchman.

He likes a challenge. And I think that is the ONLY allure we can offer him...The ingredients are there, but the cooking method is terrible.

If i could choose any manager to become our Boss, it would be Hiddink. because he has a proven track record with both Quality and Technically poor teams (Australia) of turning them into very hard to beat, fighting, solid units. And everywhere he goes, people seem to like him and respect him.

the idea of Hiddink, seems too good to br true...

Forgetting that for now...I agree, we will probably go through, but get stomped in the second road. Domestically, we are never going to catch Inter, but the aim must be to cement second place, and not allow them to extend their lead at the top.

The horrible truth I am forced to accept is that Ciro is at best, not ready for the job...at worst, he is tactically masochistic.

(and why the fuck was canna rested???? the cagliari game is more important??? to whom????)
