I wouldn't play Khedira either if it were upto me.Allegri will pick him for his experience though. It's likely that he'll be the candidate to play Marchisio's role but for me he sucks in that position.
Allegri at Milan used to play Van Bommel in front of defense who was an out and out destroyer and with Sturaro who's actually a DM by trade, don't know why he's never tried him there.

I wasn't sure that we'll put up a real fight, but now with all those injuries I'm sure Bayern will see the greatest of our team spirit. :touched:

Actually playing with Sandro and Cuadrado in a 442 may make a lot of sense against Bayern.

It reminds me when Mourinho's Inter beat Barcelona. He played with a small central midfield and tried to hit them on the break with a lot of strikers.

We are not going to win this match trying to hit them on the break when only Cuadrado has pace. If we counter with Sandro and Cuadrado it will open up tonnes of space for Dybala and Mandzukic.

We need to go there with the mentality: There is no way we will stop Bayern scoring - rather we need to go there and score at least 2 goals to give us a chance even if it means taking more chances than we normally do because Bayern play in such a way that they are not used to other teams daring to attack them at full throttle.

Its a gamble - but its probably the way to go.

Well you cannot play Hernanes in a midfield 2 and if Chiello is out well the only other option is a 4-3-1-2 and at that point you sacrifice Cuadrado for an under done Pereyra.

I just mean because he is seen as the Marchisio alternative.
If we play that 4-4-2 we don't really need or want a regista type midfielder like Hernanes, or even Marchisio, they'd be playing DM/box 2 box, which Marchisio is great at, Hernanes not so much. In 4-4-2, definitely Sturaro for me. A 2 man centre mid needs athleticism.

I'd worry about holding the ball with Pogba and Sturaro, I think Khedira would need to play.
