We were crap today.

The goals:

We allowed Bayern's players way too much space to pressure us and let them create way too many chances. Paired with Abbiati's big mistake, 1-0 down.

The second goal came of a corner, after we were still under Bayern's heave offensive pressure. Demichelis was left entirely free for an easy header. Bad defending.

On the players:

Abbiati: Complete howler, on bayern's first goal. That was awful, 5.5

Blasi: Tried hard, one of the few who played with passion. Caught out of position often though. He did not offer Camo any support, but bad passes. 5.5

Thuram: Did some good defensive work at times, but looked like an amateur the next moment. Our defence let themselves overrun by Bayern. Not to mention his countless of stray longballs, which he does every match by the way. 6 -

Cannavaro: Didn't look all too bad, just a little reckless at times.
6

Zambrotta: Hard work, good defence. Was good in the second half. 6.5

Chiellini: Tried hard, crossed a lot. Was not really effective though. 6-

Camoranesi: Our only threat in the first half, did actually pretty well. Was all alone vs Bayern 11. Did not have any help. Why was he subbed ?! 6.5

Giannichedda: Did well in the first half, winning some balls. Was inivisible in the second half. 6-

Emerson: Bad Performance. Pushed forward to attack, but in vain. He was reckless and careless. Did not win enough balls for us, and looked passionless in defence. 5

Nedved: Invisible, indecisive and ineffective: 5

Trezeguet: Typicaly performance for him, did not get any balls to work with. Nothing to blame for. No grade.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Awful. Awful. Awful. Lost every ball, literally. Had one shot at goal (which might prove important, to credit him a little). And slow in attack, and slowed down our team. Awful. Is Zlatan really as good as his hype makes him out to be? 4.5

Del Piero: Did pretty well, he still looks fit and in form. Did not get much chances in a broken team today. 6

Mutu: Strong on the ball, but pretty invisible otherwise. 5.5

Capello: Stubborn and made some foolish decisions. Why does he continue to play Zlatan and Nedved when they aren't in form?! When he could play an in form Camoranesi, Mutu and Del Piero instead. Keep Del Piero and Trezeguet up front. Which striker-partnership was the one that won us one of the most important matches last year?

Agree specially with the Zlatan and Camo parts...

I'll watch the game on Setanta at 7, but I think bayern deserved the win, as I am sure will not be argued.
Ah, well, congrats Burke for that win.. Cherish it, for there will be very few of that for you.. ;)

..and yes, bayern fully deserved to win 4-0 at least..

Man,you are totally uncorrect and I need to say this, you are always the first one to talk something bad about Del Piero. You are a shame as the supporter...and call me unobjective or whatever you want but you are totally anti Del Piero sidelong.Your posts are always the same...Del Piero this...Del Piero that....Change the story....we lost and you are attacking Del Piero again and he wasn't playing the full game...When he plays good games you are calling him a perfect sub,but when we lose you are attacking him...I don't understand that postulate you are representing.
That's all!

Please shut the hell up! that post you quoted came from Seven saying DP would be so much better then Zlatan and that Zlatan was shit. How am i going to respond to a post like that without mentiong Del Pieros name.

Dp was poor, deal with it so was Zlatan. But Del piero was in no way better then Zlatan or controlling the match or whatever nonsense you morons come up with. When i see post like that i have to respond,

Its always the same in here. Zlatan is shit and Del piero is God even when they both suck.

these are joke ratings. zlatan didn't get any more balls than trez got, so you're giving one player a 4.5 and one no grade? And how is DP a 6 when he barley touched the ball? Did he touch some kind of invisible ball I didn't see?

Greece.
Zlatan, did you know that for all his (not long) career the guests never won the game.
I heared that note and I was totally shocked.
The commentator said the exact number of the games he handled and none of them was won by the guests.
The last one was scg-bih and it was the same case.

Thats true as well, altho that isnt why we lost.
Well, true enough. But I thought that we couldn't get any type of attacking going on at all, and whenever we are going up the field, we would get jacked and then no call, and the 50-50 balls seems to favor Bayern way too often.

Not an excuse for losing, just something that pisses you off at the end of the match.

Yeah, altho he wasnt that bad in Belgrade. He could have easily given a penalty to Serbia IMO.

I can understand if a few players underperformed tonight, but when the whole team doesnt get going til the last 5 min, we certainly dont deserve to win. would ave been scandulous if we stole a point right at the end there. Emerson and Giannichedda were abysmal! neither could even put their foot on the dam ball. Same goes for the rest of the team. ZALAYETA should have come on dam you capello!

Zlatan played 30 minutes more than Trez. He surely got more ball than Trez got. Both have a completely different role in the team, Zlatan is there to be creative and create chances for other or himself. He did neither. Trez is our man closest to the opposision's goal, because he's the most sure player to score in our team. He did not get the chance to do anything though. Trez also kept the ball at his feet and passed it, the two-three times in the game he had the ball.

Del Piero, generally looked dangerous on the ball and did not make any foolish mistakes- opposite to how Zlatan lost every ball he got. Del Piero also kicked a few dangerous set-pieces. Del Piero did more than Zlatan this match in half the time.

@ DelPieroforlife, good to know. Thanks.

guys,guys,guys...

Look, like I said in a early post, our front line wasn't the problem tonigth, they all plaeyd bad becouse they didn't have a midfield support... we could have Van Basten up there and he would have the same game that Ibra and DP had, without midfield support our front line is nill,cero,sip,nada...you get the point :D

I don't give a damn what is seven saying or anyone else,I told you what are you doing, and you are rolling the same story over and over again.
You became a prosaic posting that comments about Del Piero.
It wouldn't surprise me that even if Del Piero is sitting on the banch, you would start to attacking him that he is not sitting properly.
