We have reached a level where is pretty high to stay in Europe top 8. To get any better, we have to get players like Bale, Suarez, hazard, Kris, Modric, or even Mascherano
Oh come on. We don't buy players like that, we make them. This won't change for some time being. And don't overreact because we lost a single match. Especially with injuries we are dealing with at this point of time in the season.

So its min 83 and we get pen and its 3-1.

Dont think we would come back to 3-3 really tbh.

Wouldnt surprise if Dybala had not converted the penalty given the overall performance.

Ah well, i think we need to move on all.
no excuse.we deserved for what we got from this match and juve played poorly.but i think 3_1 was fair result.

If this game told us anything its that we need better back up players than Benatia, De Sciglio and Sturaro. We cant get away with that kind of horse $hit on the big stage.

I would rather us play Rugani and give him a hard time/experience than giving the likes of Asamoah/Benatia playing time. It might just cut it in Serie A but in Champions League? No way.

The thing I did not like is our reaction to the 0-1. We are supposed to be a tough mentality team, but whenever we trail we panic. We are playing not so badly until we were trailing, the game looked liked it could go either way at 0-0. We were only lacking a little punch and conviction in the final third.

Then they score and we crumble.

We used to be able to react strongly when trailing. Then we crumbled vs Madrid. The worst part of this game is I felt like the Madeid game all over again where we came out weak after half time when we had a relatively good first half

You forgot to say that after making them, we sell them.

The score line makes Barcelona a lot better than they actually are, we'll beat this chumps in the next leg.
Also we now know that we can't play Barcelona in the next round anyway lol, so assuming if we did finish second we will definitely miss them and one of Bayern/PSG because the latter are in the same group.

Let's just forget about this game. We need to focus on getting at least 7 points from the next three games. I doubt we can finish top of the group anyway, but as long as we avoid Real or Bayern in the next round, should we get past the group stage, we'll be fine.

rather Bayern than PSG, Bayern look poor.

Bayern are past it.
For a such a shrewd club, they've been surprisingly poor at replacing their aging and retiring stars.
A lot of their key players are now too old or retired, and Guardiola's reign of terror destroyed the careers of Gotze and Muller. They're still a "good," team but that's about it.

We dont need anymore back up players we need starters.

I am not a particular big fan of the players mentioned, but I dont get the slack our defense is getting after this game. Apart from the Benatia howler on the second goal I actually think they did allright.

Barcelona and especially Messi is going to take apart any defense in the world, if a team is constantly loosing the ball in dangerous areas. The defense was not the problem in this game, our attacking movement and posession game was.

Lel Guardiola gave Götze Myopathy and made Müller play like shit under Ancelotti when he had his best season ever during Guardiola's last at the club :baus:

I can certainly see Barca dropping points away from home. Against us and one of the other shiiters.

Unless we somehow spank Barca 4-0 then we're not topping the group. Highly doubt they'll drop more points than us even if we do beat them and H2H decides group order. Not that it matters because Barca will probably have a better GD than us anyway due to how they play.
