Arda Turan and Griezmann would be the other main threats in terms of creativity.

Raul Garcia is good at timing runs from deep/wide into the box, so he needs to be watched as well.
Then hold shape. I don't follow Athletic so I didn't realize the firepower they had. If the game progresses with no goals or we are leading late in the game I reckon they will throw on some more attackers.

thats another way of saying we take the initiative and impose our game
There is a big gap between going and being aggressive and trying to dominate the game and simply sitting deep and looking to soak up pressure.

Juve don't want to drop/get pushed too deep, but at the same time I'd expect them to keep plenty of men behind the ball and look to keep Atletico in safe areas of the pitch rather than really pressing aggressively in midfield to try and win the ball back, which opens up the risk of the midfield being taken out of the game and the defence being left exposed.

Something worth noting, I'm sure everyone has realized this but when we play with evra as lwb, we really play with a back 4. Allegri gives Licht more freedom to go forward and he sort of takes the defensive duties away, so if you think about it there is really no reason we should be affected by the doubling up on the wings, even if the formation is a 3-5-2.

If they start him or even throw him on as a sub, I'd be more happy than scared

It's a little twist towards playing with a back four, like what happened in the first half against Milan, but it's not fully committing to it. That shape is also partly dependent on Caceres playing, as you probably aren't going to ask Ogbonna to play quite as wide as Caceres is comfortable playing.

However, you still end up leaving one flank slightly exposed, unless you ask Pogba to drift wider to close down the right-back, but I'm not sure you really want to take him out of the middle of the pitch as it is still more important to have control in the cntre.

Of course, but if we did take the defensive approach to this game and Allegri were to include this in our game, it would really hurt them

Diego Simeone: A final with Juve

This is a final with Juventus, as are all the games and as the next one will be, Simeone commented to reporters today.

We are a competitive team and I will have many options for tomorrow. The games are all different and depending on the game I will see who will play.

Juventus are a team who have always worked very well, they are a solid team that it is hard to take points from.

Tomorrow we will need to play a game at the highest level in order to bring home the three points. We will see, however, in training tomorrow, to dissolve any doubts [about team selection].

We face Juve with the utmost respect that they deserve as an established team. I like the work done over the years by Juve, we note the great work done behind their victories.

Again, I have much respect and admiration for them.

I don’t think that Juve will play on the counter-attack, they will enjoy a lot of space and recover the ball well.

Llorente and Tevez push right to the touchline but they need to feel close to the midfielders. Juve will be expressive.

Refusing to commit one way or another on Alessio Cerci’s presence in the squad, Simeone was asked about compatriot Carlos Tevez.

We know that he is an extraordinary player, he moves a lot between the lines, and he is very difficult to control. The secret will be to not allow him time to think, and not allow him to receive the ball.

I have set a very clear viewpoint. If you want to be "elite" or in the top5 , you first need to have gotten there.

Athletico's upgrades are significantly inferior to what they lost. They'll keep doing fine against teams who are far to offensive and poorly balanced, but they wont nearly repeat last season

If they lose against us tomorrow, they will struggle to get out of the groupstage
You're the only one with that View point, do you have some kind of Veto, like Russia?

I have a feeling that we will use the advantage of tevez being marked. If he is marked it will only allow us to draw more players out of position and attack, and this is why I insist on using Morata, because without Tevez, Llorente isn't able to create on his own.

Gabi might not play tommorow:
http://as.com/diarioas/2014/09/30/english/1412081795_993703.html

Before appearing in the press room, Simeone confirmed to the cameras of Canal Plus Champions League that Moyà will play on Tuesday night against Juventus: “Moya will play tomorrow, we did not take much time to think about the goalkeeper”. Moyà will leave the bench and make his debut with Atlético Madrid in the Champions League in what will be a real test for Simeone’s side.

Simeone tested out his probably eleven on Tuesday morning, what would be formed by Moyà, Juanfran, Gordon, Miranda, Ansaldi; Tiago, Koke; Raúl García, Griezmann, Arda; and Mandzukic. The eleven is on the basis that Gabi, who has not trained over the last few days, will be absent.

Moyà will start in the Champions League and Oblak, who started in the first game at Olympiacos in Athens (3-2), will drop out. Ansaldi is set to play ahead of Siqueira and Koke will be deploued in the centre of midfield. Simeone is alsos et to give Griezmann a star as playmaker. Raúl García and Arda will feature alongside Griezmann and Mandzukic will start in attack.

4-2-3-1 : Moyà;Juanfran-Godin-Miranda-Ansaldi;Tiago-Koke;Raúl García-Griezmann-Arda;Mandzukic
