4-4-2 is the key against Arsenal.
I've seen Leeds beat them like that many times, as well as Bolton and recently; Blackburn.

Teams with fancy tactics fall at Highbury.

We have to outbattle them!!
Leeds havent played Arsenal in at least 3 years.....

Bolton beat them this season twice playing a 4-5-1

Arsenal wouldn't expect us to play for 0-0 cause 0-0 away is a bad result..a 2-2 is a better result dan a 0-0 score line..

Arsenal won't expect us to play for 0-0..

0-0 isn't a bad result. 3-0 is a bad result. of cousre away goals are imporant.

Well, the damage has been done, we should only hope for the best out of what we still have available.

Would Capello start with Mutu and Trezeguet up front?

The midfield will be Zambrotta Vieira Emerson Camoranesi
and the defenders Chiellini Thuram Cannavaro Zebina
that doesnt sound bad, if we are going to play a 4-4-2 (CapeLOL knows no other way !!)

What about playing 4-3-2-1?

Buffon
Zambrotta Thuram Cannavaro Chiellini
Vieira Emerson Pessotto
Camoranesi/Mutu Zlatan
Trezeguet

just not sure about Pesso playing in the midfield.....does he have the pace ??

then again, not too sure about Gianni, and you can rule out Blasi !!

Exactly, Pessotto is the best out of the three. He might play one half and then depending on the score, a change will be done for either Mutu/Camo (depending on who stayed on the bench) or for Giannichedda.

Then again, do you need the pace? I think it is better to suck up Arsenal's pressure and not let them enjoy the game of counter attacks that they enjoy most.

del piero out i say we lose. it makes me sorry to say this but it is true that in recent CL matches he always seems to be the leading force. of course the team could put in some extra effort knowing that he's out.. but will they?

I just dont feel as optimistic as I did after yesterday's Roma ordeal and DP's injury, not to mention the fact the Pav is already out of it. BUT football is surreal game, sometimes u can win when things r @ a down. So I trust JUVE POWER will deliver

I hope Arsenal lost some match awarenesscoz of the the extra rest period........

Too things will probably give us a good result :
First of all: cappello must change the way he played especially now that we have a plenty of injuries
second : Team spirit

Really worried about getting embaressed again in England for the 2nd year running. I'm still pissed off at the way we went down to Liverpool and that first 30 mins at Anfield. I swear to God I will break the shit out of something should I witness something similar on Tuesday.

Yeah ur quite right considering that arsenal was probably the most boring team with george graham for a good 9yrs.i remember clearly how rival teams used to sing "BORING BORING ARSENAL" & the teams signature scoreline was 1 - 0 what a fvckin surprise.Arsenal only began to play attractive football after Arsene Wenger arrived, but then again u probably didnt even know that.

Dont even test when it comes to Arsenals History i know everything.

How long was that about somewhere in the 80's to the early 90's stop bringing up the past. Now we are one of the most entertaining teams in the world and Juve are one of the most boring.

Whats the problem in me saying that when it is the God Damn truth?

I dont know i just think a score draw is the 1 result i will be most comfortable with other that a win of cos
If we get beat and score, is not good to me as capello's teams are not comfortable going into matches knowing they have to win as Werder Bremen and other games have shown.
0-0 is the same thing as we have to win and with Arsenals pace, it might cause problems in Turin as we do leave gaps and we are lacking in pace in key areas.
Zlatan has to perform very well as there is not a sub we can bring on if he underperforms as asking Zalayeta to be that person is very unfair given the amount of playing time he has been given
Id hate to think that Chiellini will be the one to replace Nedved as that willbe very worrying

The club's success in the late 1990s and 2000s owes a great deal to the appointment of manager Arsène Wenger in 1996. Wenger brought new tactics, a new training regime and several foreign players who complemented the existing English talent. Arsenal won a second league and cup double in 1998 and a third in 2002. In addition, the club reached the final of the 2000 UEFA Cup (losing on penalties to Galatasaray), were victorious in the 2003 and 2005 FA Cups, and won the Premier League in 2004 without losing a single match, which earned the side the nickame "The Untouchables"; in all, the club went 49 league matches unbeaten, a national record. Arsenal have finished in either first or second place in the league in eight of Wenger's nine seasons at the club, and they are one of only three teams (along with Manchester United and Chelsea) to have won the league title during the past decade. However, they have been unable to replicate their domestic success in the Champions League, having never progressed beyond the quarter-finals (as of 2005).

very important that we have the right attitude before this game. i think we should go out and put pressure on arsenal. give 'em a real surprise. i think arsenal are expecting us to play defence and play for 0-0. get a couple of goals before arsenal understands what's happening:D
That could be your best chance. Arsenal defence tends to be a bit nervy at the start.

Nearly every pundit seems to think it will be a mismatch on Tuesday, that's what really winds me up. One newspaper article describes Emerson as "outstanding". What rubbish. He is a decent defensive midfielder, a bit like Gilberto Silva, but is far from outstanding. It really annoys me how "experts" like Gabriel Marcotti overrate all your players. How many times do you have to get knocked out before people realise your not that good. The juve fans on this board have convinced me that I was right to think Arsenal have a good chance. I listen to your opinions more than journalists who go by reputation every time.

David Platt said only Henry would get into your team. Thats ridiculous. Again going by reputation rather than playing form. Alexander Hleb is in different league to Mutu in terms of playing on the wing. Fabregas is a in a different league to Emerson in terms of passing range. By the same token, Emerson is a different league to Fabregas in the sense of tackling and shielding the back four.

I don't mind people tipping Juve to win, but I hate all this "mismatch" nonsense.
