technically we profited some 14 mil euro from immobile, if you factor in wages that we didnt pay that figure goes up to about 18 mil, not bad but i dont get why before WC, there must be some other element we are not aware of yet.
Perhaps we need the money now to finish another deal before the WC starts (Sanchez :D).

Torino and Juventus agreed to sell him before the world cup to have money in hand, and they didn't want to 'risk' Dortmund going for another striker (Lukaku) and not being interested in Immobile anymore. So they decided it was better to sell before and be certain of the money than wait and end up with no buyers

This 20 million can't be enough money for young striker who is Serie A top scorer. If he had been playing in Spain or Germany and banging in goals in 8-0 victories, his price would be like 50 million at least.

Still, I'm somewhat disappointed we never gave him a chance. He has done an amazing job in Pescara and Torino.

Selling Immobile is a very horrible decision

We only get 9.5m net and if we want to buy any player with 20 goals records or anybody who will improve our team need like 20m..

We and Torino are very stupid to sell only for 19.5m
Even Sanchez (who never score more than 20 goals a season in Serie A got like 30m), Lavezzi who has far lesser goals records can get like 24m, Lamela also got 30m and Marquinhos 30m
even Soldado and Negredo (already older) from La Liga is far expensive

This guy already become top scorer in Serie B and A, with just 24 years old and has far more things to improve
He definitely a guy with attitudes who can learn and always improve
After 1 season scrap in Genoa, he learn and do it much better in his 2nd season
He definitely not one season wonder
He can score consistently against all teams, never score bulk goals (hattrick or brace) only for 1 or 2 games, but consistent scores weekly

He knows how to score and his movement and finishing is excellent.. He would be alternative from Llorente with his pace, movement, and finishing
While Llorente is good playing with his back against goal and set up play, he tends to waste good chances
With Immobile we have alternative if we want to play with far more fluid movement and through pass

We definitely will regret this decision..
