Excuse my ignorance but isn't that the 4-2-3-1 formation that ferrara have used for some games :shifty:
in typical ferrara fashion he used it for two games, then changed it back, great way to get some consistency going.... And he didnt use diego the way i'm meaning for him to be used, or the wingers in the way i'm thinking of. I'm talking about the formation that Mourinho used at chelsea and in a way a similar formation to Barca's current formation

whats the point in that though? He's had half a season to prove himself and i am very sorry to say he has failed. There's no point in giving him 'a few more games', in a few games time our season really could be over. We need to address the problem sooner rather than later.

Is not the time he has spend in Juventus as the coach, because to be fair, half season is a short time to prove yourself.
To any coach, it would have been kind of unffair to fire him now, but.... the problem with Ciro is that at this stage, he has been dismal, i mean really wrong in his decitions and above all in his team management..... to the point that is very clear he just cannot continue.

Juventus legend Boniek: Board must defend Ferrara

Juventus legend Zibi Boniek says the club must rally round underfire coach Ciro Ferrara.

Boniek believes Ferrara needs full support from the club's board if they're to survive their current crisis.

The Pole said: "Ciro's career resembles so much like Roberto Mancini's, he's suffering in a great team and even at a very powerful club.

"Ferrara had no record of coach from Serie A. So if you choose him, you have to defend him. Remember Ancelotti with Parma. When he first had difficulties, he was protected. Now look at him, after AC Milan, now Chelsea."

Boniek believes Claudio Ranieri, now in charge of Roma, should still be with Juve.

He added: "It was a big mistake by the Bianconeri. He was the victim of an outrageous attack by a newspaper. He was sentenced from the start. It was a premature decision, he had done well, beating even Real.

"After the exit from Turin, he is enjoying a pleasant situation at Roma. And he deserves it."
