I know our management are masters at disappointing the fans, but I trully do believe that a managerial change will be made in the next few days. Sure Blank came out after the game and said that Ranieri is sa... oops i meant Ferrara is safe, but he's hardly going to come out in the press and say otherwise during the aftermath of the game, we saw the same happen with ranieri.
The thing that disappoints me the most is the fact that Ferrara hasn't done the right thing and resign of his own accord. If I was in his position, and I was leading the team in the way that he is, my love for the club would overpower my willingness to work, and after a 4th defeat in 5 games, 6th of the season and with about 6 points from the last available 20 I would hand the reigns over to someone who could actually do the job.
I'm against firing coaches, and i dont want to get into the former 'inter cycle' of firing someone every 9 months. We need to give the job to a coach who is world class. This season is dead for us, so let them build for this season, and then next season we can show what we're worth. I'm trying to think of available coaches. My choice would obviously be guus hiddink. Here's a list of who i can think of (these are not my suggestions.)
Hiddink
Klinsmann
Houllier
Terim
Laudrup
Schuster
Sven
Gentile
Zeman
Van Basten
Billic
Vialli
Scolari
Casiraghi
Some interesting names there, and 90% of them better than Ferrara. The only one's that would really appeal to me though would be Guus, Houllier, maybe sven and maybe bilic... I'd love to see Gentile as the manager, because he would kick some serious ass, but I'm worried about his lack of club experience..
