Ferrara deserves to stay till the end of the year if he realizes his mistakes and never repeat it, but if he plays another 4-3-1-2 with Giovinco on the bench, I would kill him and not just sack..

Ferrara: «Today the players played like great champions»

It is hard to fight back the great joy after a 5-1 victory and it is obviously of great satisfaction for a coach to win in such a manner: «

We are very happy. It was a perfect evening due to the result, the match played and the way we handled the match. This is the spirit of Juventus. Clearly, if we see tonight’s match this would seem like the best tactical approach but in an entire championship sometimes you have to change.Today the players played like great champions. They were perfect and I can only thank them and say a big well done. This would be the perfect Juve but I am aware of the fact that it is not easy to maintain this rythm. It is however, the starting point of our team
».

Asked who according to him is the man of the match, the Juventus coached said: «It is hard to pick out a single player because today played as a team and in such cases you create more and suffer less. Even the players who came on did really well».

From now on: « This should be the charge that launches us. It is true we came from a series of negative results and this conditioned us but we showed that we can come back and now we have to maintain this».

We have to admit that after the roma games he got it all wrong. But i still have so much praise for him as a player that im really hoping him to learn from this game.

You can do this Ciro!

I won't be suprised if he did yet again but not because he's clueless or dump but simply because he might rather rest Gio + Camo for the maccabi's game next week the way he rested them on siena's game

4-2-3-1, 4-3-2-1 I don't mind him switching these formation, but if it is really needed, in case of fitness and injuries, sure I can't blame him then.. But when you have 100% fit Giovinco you MUST play him, no ifs or buts..

I am scared about Marchisio. Will it be the end of his reign or constant rotation every game between him, melo and sissoko...........and [cough]tiago[cough]:sergio:

Honestly I am not happy about him sitting the bench...i may have to swallow that pill if we continue this form though:(

Use this as a lesson Ciro. 4-2-3-1 suits us best.
But we lack of depth in AM position. We have only 4 player we can really suits as AM: Diego, DP, Camo, Gio. I don't know if Marchisio can play well in AM postion but i will try that if needed.

and for the 2 DM it will be Momo and Melo with Tiago and Poulsen as back up

The 4231 is clearly the best choice and after tonight I'm sure Ciro will adopt it regulary

- We play more effecient, flowing football, with less longballs.
- We create more chances, and therefore score more goals.
- With their interchanging passing, our attacking trio unlocks a lot of space.
- Unlike the 4312, the opposition cannot sever our main link between the midfield and attack without exposing themselves elsewhere.

Also, defensively, we leaves less space with this formation. Despite not playing with 3 defensive mids, we actually plug more holes in midfield because Seba/Diego/Camo can apply more pressure higher up the pitch than just Diego alone, forcing the opposition to get rid of the ball more quickly and therefore creating more mistakes.

Ciro won't adopt this formation regularly.

He said after the match that it was a temporary solution because of the absence of 2 strikers.

Wasn't Ciro Ferrara, the coach of Juventus FC S.p.A (Irishzebra) on your signature just the other day? :shifty:

One thing I've noticed is that Sissoko and Melo's performences become so much better when they can focus on the defensive part and not try to become creative as they need to be in the 4-3-1-2.

Even if he won't use 4-2-3-1 permanently , i won't mind because if DP back , we will have enough creativity to breaks opponents nets

so if DP back we could switch to our early formation,

    ------------------------------Buffon---------------------------

    Grygera-------Canna----------------Chiellini------Grosso

    ----------Camo/Sissoko-----Melo---------Marchisio/Sissoko

    -----------------------------Diego-------------------

    ----------------Amauri/Iaq/Trez---------DP----------

The bolded players name will provide us more than enough creativity to kill opponent , BUT never plays Melo,Sissoko and Poulsen Together and let Diego running like a headless chicken with 2 twin tower infront of him, bloody lame.
