Todays win over a useless Israeli team was in no way impressive.

The Israeli team had 3 of their best players out

They only just won

They dominated only in patches

There is something badly wrong at Juventus

or the fact that there not a bad team, they were fouling like crazy adn we just started using a new formation.

not to mention the fact the pitch was very wet and that was not good for our game, but rather suiting there game

but hey either way linebreak

“We gave our opponents too much space, and we must improve on this,” the Juve coach Ciro Ferrara admitted to Sky at the completion of the match.

“There's always room for improvement though, as tonight we played a different formation [4-2-3-1] for the first time in six years.

“Changing something like that is often going to bring about some problems.

“Nevertheless, we still had a good game tonight, but unfortunately we could not close it off, and we risked suffering an equalizer just seconds from the end, so that's why I’m angry.”

Except for the underlined part, nice to see him copping the fuck on

Ferrara went on to praise the efforts of Diego,

But not Gio :(

Playing with a new formation for the first time the team really impressed. Tons of creativity and great off ball movements last night something we did not see for a long time.

I remember saying that neither do Diego or Giovinco can play alone as a playmaker in a 4-3-1-2 formation. Those two players should always play together Always. Looking at the options that we have its clear that we can't play with the 4-2-3-1 formation all the time (we don't have enough AM to play that system in case one of Gio, diego or Camo got injured).

So the next best thing is to play with a 4-2-1-2-1 system :

------------------sissoko----------------Melo------------------

---------------------------Camo (Tiago)-----------------------

----------------------Diego (Camo)----------------Giovinco (Diego)-------

--------------------------------------striker--------------------------

With Camo pushing forward and acting as a 3rd AM on the right when needed.

Ciro should read a book on dutch football philosophy, we need to be more fluid and dynamic in possesion, get the ball to do the work for us and just get our players running in the right places, we have the ability but no gameplan whatsoever. This can at least cover up our defence for now untill we get reinforcements.

I think Ciro is in over his head, regardless of the formation and lineup our players seem confused and unsure of a real strategy, I hate to say it but I think Ferrara has failed to get his ideas across to the players in training or they were just shitty ones. The team doesn't flow or combine well enough, a change in coach might be good

I realize that, but moaning and complaining about it (and starting to sound like Vinman) will not alter anything. We are still coming to grips with a new, inexperienced coach, a new system, not to mention the injuries.

Let's wait until February or March before we can make a clear and fair assessment.
