Why? Just because you are a former goalie doesnt mean you have to work as a goal keeping coach or such (Rampulla's different jobs never been that big roles either, mainly minor ones, isnt an accomplished staff official). Peruzzi was a player manager in Lazio, and very competent and respected one at that.

Seriously, it doesn't make sense not keeping Ciro. Spaletti isn't much diff than Ranieri, not keeping Ciro will be a huge mistake.

1- Working with Lippi is an achievement by itself.
2- Was part of our winning team in the last decade +.
3- Has a good rapport with players, fans and is liked by everyone.
4- He's got winning mentality and he has proved it in his last 180min.
5- Defensively, he's the man for the job.
6- And because his name is Ciro Ferrara.

Ferrara will definitely get a lot of credit from the fans, whereas Spaletti would probably be severely criticised after the first bad result.

Plus, to be honest, I don't see anything different from what Spaletti has achieved compared to Ranieri's achievements.

So let's go with Ferrara, seeing that aren't any better options right now.

Supposedly Spalletti has been confirmed as Roma coach after a meeting with Sensi.

It's all yours, Ciro.
