He's as cancerous as those who act like he's some sort of football god.

Lets be honest here. Sissoko is a poor footballer. He might be great at running around destroying attacks like a suicide bomber, but he's a poor footballer. For someone to be so coveted yet so poor with the ball is an insult to the game.

And how do you know that you're right?

Sissoko was great and he used to offer a lot to this team when we got him. Poulsen was always invisible, he never offered anything we needed. How do you base his play? "he is supposed to play here and passes it on to teh ball players and allows them the space to go forward" Geez, even I could play like that. There's no single thing he's good at, everything he does is decent at best and there is simply no reason we should keep him.

Reasoning for his play are weird. You never see anyone say "he's good at ----" not once. And there's no wonder, because he offers as much as Tiago. Whoever laughed at Tiago and wants Poulsen to stay is biased because they are not the same level here - it's just that you don't see own goals from Christian. Some also say that he's good at reading the game. Well, you know what, bullshit. You can say the same fucking thing for Grygera, same fucking thing.

Any good offer should be accepted. This guy is clueless when it comes to Serie A and more importantly Juventus.
Great explanation.

To be honest, I'd rather have Poulsen be invisible than being forced to watch Sissoko pass the ball to the other team or out of bounds or put himself into yellow card trouble. A human being only has so many fingers and toes to keep track of errors.

When Poulsen is being invisible, that means he's doing his job. He isn't a flashy player, he isn't a playmaker. His responsibilities include being a utility worker, getting the job done in front of the defense and successfully making passes to more talented players. Poulsen isn't a great passer, but he is miles ahead of Sissoko. The latter's job is to spark havoc and while he does that, his idiocy with the ball stifles our play far too much... to the point of it being detrimental to our play. And I've had it with this nonsense from one-dimensional players.

Poulsen might not be an athlete like Sissoko, but at least he has a brain.

Well if you say so, we should accept it.

He's a lesser version of C.Zanetti. You're again comparing him to Sissoko who used to shine at least. Poulsen was always rock bottom, or maybe decent at his prime. Oh and no, it's still silly to spit on Sissoko and defend Amauri and say how he played in a wrong formation, with wrong players and with a wrong role.

The way you described him...you do realize that it's a job that even boys that collect balls can do?

Yeah, you seem to defend that idiotic style of play, where you actually stand, without any brain, waiting for the ball to get you. But yet you're pretty slow, bad tackler, only a decent passer and a player that has no vision whatsoever.
Add to that, that he is NOT suited for Italian style of play it seems, especially Juventus, who plays rather slowly which is not a big plus for him. He might do well in Spain, though. Still, average at best.

If you are going to continue using the theory that Sissoko was given a role that did not suit him last year as an excuse, then you must first prove what that role was. If it was simply a matter of him being deployed in a different formation as a central midfielder, don't bother. No matter the formation, a central midfielder should be able to pass the ball successfully at small distances.

You are grossly underrating Poulsen, a player in which I don't even rate so highly. But it is clear he does add a sort of calmness to our game. Moreover, it's also clear that him being invisible is actually a good sign, meaning that he is doing his job. If he was visible, he'd probably be making poor passes or other mistakes. Players like him get very little credit but they are necessary in the game.

In the right team Sissoko could be a very useful player. If you had midfielders who could pass the ball, and a consistent and functioning tactical system where every one knows exactly what his role is, Sissoko could be very useful. In this current Juve side, Sissoko could be a liability at times, but when at his best, Sissoko is a great destroyer.

Gattuso is a better, more intelligent, footballer than Sissoko.

Milan had also built their midfield properly to have Pirlo and Gattuso to compliment each other brilliantly.

It's more than evident that some of his main detractors never saw him at Sevilla or with Denmark (or even Juventus, for that matter, as he's always been very consistent when played). That, and they're prone to some outrageous hyperbole. Or they just spout supposed negative qualities off the cuff, hoping either people are just as ignorant and will mindlessly parrot them, or that these things will go unnoticed by others.
