He's a lesser version of C.Zanetti. You're again comparing him to Sissoko who used to shine at least. Poulsen was always rock bottom, or maybe decent at his prime. Oh and no, it's still silly to spit on Sissoko and defend Amauri and say how he played in a wrong formation, with wrong players and with a wrong role.

Yeah, you seem to defend that idiotic style of play, where you actually stand, without any brain, waiting for the ball to get you. But yet you're pretty slow, bad tackler, only a decent passer and a player that has no vision whatsoever.
Add to that, that he is NOT suited for Italian style of play it seems, especially Juventus, who plays rather slowly which is not a big plus for him. He might do well in Spain, though. Still, average at best.

If you are going to continue using the theory that Sissoko was given a role that did not suit him last year as an excuse, then you must first prove what that role was. If it was simply a matter of him being deployed in a different formation as a central midfielder, don't bother. No matter the formation, a central midfielder should be able to pass the ball successfully at small distances.

You are grossly underrating Poulsen, a player in which I don't even rate so highly. But it is clear he does add a sort of calmness to our game. Moreover, it's also clear that him being invisible is actually a good sign, meaning that he is doing his job. If he was visible, he'd probably be making poor passes or other mistakes. Players like him get very little credit but they are necessary in the game.

In the right team Sissoko could be a very useful player. If you had midfielders who could pass the ball, and a consistent and functioning tactical system where every one knows exactly what his role is, Sissoko could be very useful. In this current Juve side, Sissoko could be a liability at times, but when at his best, Sissoko is a great destroyer.

It's more than evident that some of his main detractors never saw him at Sevilla or with Denmark (or even Juventus, for that matter, as he's always been very consistent when played).
