Exactly.

He's been improving and had a truely excellent game tonight, which I'm really happy about, but people now act like he's been amazing since he joined us and everyone is crazy for complaining about him.
its not like hes been great or consistent. We already have 2 great Dms in Momo and Melo. And as far as a backup is considered this guy has been performing decently this season. And there have been calls for other Dms also recently

the problem is that our DMFs are not quite good enough to operate alone, like Makelele or Essien for example...when you play them as a pair, they are superb...alone, their weaknesses get exposed

It would be different if we were playing a diamond like Chelsea. No DM is good enough to defend on his own with no help in midfield.

Whoever plays at the base of the Chelsea diamond has help from those on the left and right.

Great game from Poulsen.

I was moaning at half time that nobody was picking up the ball in front of the defence and getting it forward effectively, and he stepped up in the second half and did exactly that.

Great pass for Grosso's goal and a lovely through-ball for Amauri that Zapata defended very well.

Always liked this guys attitude, if he can keep the performances up then we will have some real competition in the DM position which can only be good for the club.

well that's what we tried in the beginning of the season, really...recall Melo sitting in front of the DF, Camo on the right and Marchi on the left

Yeah, it's a joke. Poulsen has had about 3 great games for us, a few good ones, but the majority have been piss poor. I expect him to have more poor ones soon as well.

Poulsen worthy of Juventus

Tuesday 24 November, 2009

Christian Poulsen believes he is showing himself to be worth a place in the Juventus squad after a tumultuous pre-season.

The Bianconeri desperately tried to sell Poulsen, even lining up a deal with Fenerbahce, but the Denmark international wouldn't leave on account of his family being happy in Turin.

“They told me that we were too many in midfield after the signing of Felipe Melo, but I could not go away after just one year,” Poulsen said.

“For me, coming to Juve represented a great chance after seasons in Germany and in Spain. To leave would have been a fiasco.

“I wanted and in fact I still want to show my good standard of football. I want to show that I can play at this football club,”
he concluded.
