is Insua good, Aar?
For his age yeah. Very good crosser of the ball, good touch, good passer, decent long shot. Though he lacks defensive positioning skills, he's not a bad tackler.

Personally, I hope we keep him. He could really benefit having an older player ahead of him to help him along.

    Says Dusan.

Goal.com is saying that his agent is at Merseyside. The British press is not covering the story at all, for good reason.
I didn't say it was a done deal but I think it will happen.

Oh and IMO British press is  Papers like Daily Mail etc. are worse than tribalfootball in my books.

I don't read the Daily Fail. Mostly check Sky, Times, BBC, and the Echo.

    Italian press isn't much better.

As for this "guru" stuff I think we ought to go back to posting sources.

I think that it's weird we're trying to sign Poulsen in the middle of negotiations to sell the club. I guess it's Hodgson trying to cover if things fall through.

Marchisio and Poulsen are the only two CMs who are in any way composed on the ball. I am excluding Ekdal, as he is out on loan again from what I have been reading.

Melo is harder to judge than Momo. The Malian has always been suspect with the ball at his feet, its just a shame he has sunk to such self destructive depths whilst with us. Again, this suggest our coaching set-up has not been satisfactory for a long time. As for Melo...I don't know what to think. One thing is for sure; his mind is not Right. Perhaps this can be improved. I hope so. As he has lost so much value since we signed him, that we will lose hugely if he is sold this summer. Now and then, Felipe tackles wonderfully and passes with flair. But those moments were so few and far between that like Momo, but for different reasons, he caused more harm than good.

On last season's showing, Poulsen is more useful to us than Melo and Momo. He could be a deschamps, with the right coaching. Tackle, play the ball short and simple. With Marchisio more box to box...
Exactly what I mean . Lets hope that Melo really delivers this season but even so, injuries to any CM's will create complications and our injury history is concerning.

They tend to negotiate if deal falls through. And who knows, maybe Poulsen is one player that new potential owner likes so he's pushing it too.

    Oh, I rate Sky.

    More like afford Krasic, apparently.

So if Poulsen leaves, who will stay on as our fourth central midfielder? We can't just get buy with Sissoko, Marchisio and Melo.
I don't know but I HOPE we keep Ekdal because I have high hopes for that guy and he seems very good.

The Daily Mail is good for British news, no way worse than tribalfootball. They have no knowledge of other football though.

Apparently there are 3 parties so I doubt it's a "new owner wants Pouslen to make the deal go down thing".

Just Hodgson continuing with business as usual in case things don't work out.

    That was a joke.

    Barrone?
    Who?

I thought Ekdal was on his way to Bologna?

Wouldn't mind keeping him at all (I'm for keeping both him and Marrone) as from what I saw last season he seems to be decent at passing the ball around. Most likely we won't have the capital to spend on another midfielder after Krasic, so we'll have to rely on those guys.

I think he can be a great player.

Yeah they say it's a "done deal" and we just wait to finish our match with Shamrock before this move happens. I just hope we cancel it.

IMO it will be very, very retarded to sell both Poulsen and Ekdal and then buy another CM.

From what I read, we seem to have agreed a deal for ½ Ekdal to Bologna for €3m.

Marrone seems to be on the way to a Siena sort of club, he wasn't called up to the team to play Shamrock.

Spending on another back up player would be useless if we have either of those available.
