That Materazzi really deserves the beating of a lifetime....

Several games I've seen him brutally slaughter players without warning. Today was extreme, just as Lazio-Inter last season. He really needs to be stopped.
Well said Torkel.
I've never thought that I can say such thing about any player: but the more I watch him, the more I hate him :yuck:
He is so brutal, he can seriously hurt someone at last :(

I was gonna say today was the first time Matrix impressed me. Didn't foul like usual, didn't pick up any cards and was solid play after play. But then he kicked Sheva in the groin and now he's back to being Matrix again. What a lousy player!

oh man that martins guy is great,
The thing i like about inter is their african players (the few they have). i really like africans and they can be very influential in Europe (pienaar who plays for ajax is south african good example)

Martins goal was great, especially the fact that he beat maldini, IMO the best defeneder in the world, and his celebration was amazing, probably one of the best celebraters playing in europe currently

Obafemi Martins :thumb: He reminds me of Samuel Eto'o because of his outrageous pace
"No Martins No Party", Inter fan really knows that....He's a little bit late to came in, but yeah.....It's AC Milan on the final!:)
I dunno about Juve match tonight, Real is the fav but who knows....At least we'll do our best

Martins is great. An 18 year old scoring in nearly every chance he gets to play. He has to be good.

Such quality players Inter have, but they just dont attack.

all that's left is the second leg.

It's either gonna be a Final that i Predicted since last summer or a Final that i've been dreaming of :)

Milan Player Ratings

05/13/2003. Abbiati 7-Not great when he had to come out of his posts, but two key saves in the final minutes to carry Milan into the final.

Costacurta 6,5-A perfect match until his back-pass that allowed Martins to level the score.

Nesta-7,5-His best game this season.

Maldini 6,5-Like his team-mate Billy, a great match until Oba Oba's strike.

Kaladze 6-Worried more about containing Conceicao rather than joining his team's offensive surges.

Gattuso 7-Confirmed to be the true heart of this team.

Seedorf 6,5-A bit fluffy, be he did serve the ball with which Shevchenko opened the scoring.

Pirlo 6,5-Put some order on the pitch when Milan were tactically lost.

Rui Costa 5,5-Not a great match, held on to the ball too much, and never seemed to connect with his team-mates.

Inzaghi 5-Never in the heart of the action.

Shevchenko 7-He was Milan's offense this evening.

SUBS

Ambrosini 6-He gave some quantity to the midfield when Milan most needed it.

Brocchi-Played too little to be evaluated

Serginho-Played too little to be evaluated

Inter Player Ratings

05/13/2003. Toldo 5,5-Slow to react on Shevcehnko's strike. Was allowed to rest during the rest of the match.

J. Zanetti 7-A great defensive effort coupled with his usual charisma.

Materazzi 6,5-Wiped Inzaghi out of the pitch, but should be less violent towards his adversaries.

Cordoba 5,5-A great game, but tarnished by the defensive error that allowed Sheva to put Milan up-front.

Cannavaro-6,5-A solid match.

Conceicao 6-Was in the bulk of the action during most of the game, but never provided a decisive effort.

Di Biagio 5-Why does Cuper insist to field him as a starter?

C. Zanetti 6,5-Fought for two in the middle of the pitch.

Emre 6,5-The only creative element for Inter this evening, even though he was sometimes imprecise.

Crespo 5-Invisible, but it wasn't his fault.

Recoba 4,5-If Crespo was invisible El Chino was a ghost. Another mistake by Cuper.

SUBS

Dalmat 6,5-He tried to add some quality to Inter's midfield, and helped the Nerazzuri hold the run of play throughout the second half..

Oba-Oba Martins 7-The new phenomenon of football gave an elelectric charge to the Inter offense that culminated with his goal. A true Shaman.

Kallon 6-Played little, but could have entered the history football if he had scored the winning goal.
