Buffon
Melberg-Legro-Chiellini-Molinaro
Marchisio-Tiago-Nedved
Iaquinta/Amauri-Trezeguet-Del Piero

we need height and physical power to beat chelsea, and the best chances we will have scoring goals is from set pieces

Darn it! We'll really miss Momo!
Unfortunately we don't have a very important factor which called CHANCE! But I think we even can face Chelsea in this situation. Momo is out, also Marchionni would be on the bench on Tuesday!
I was thinking 'bout Gio as RB. And I don't know if he plays for Marchionni how well he would be! but since this fuckin' Mr. Ranieri do not leave 4-4-2 we can benefit from Gio's speed and long balls for that side!
For midfield I prefer Marchisio-Tiago ...and I'd have Poulsen on the bench, cuz he might help us from bench by cheerin' better than playin' and makin' mistakes after mistakes!
so our midfield could be sth like this:
Gio-Marchisio-Tiago-Neddy

peeps, right now i see that nedved can be a super-sub...
just look at him against torino, the moment he came on, the game started going our way. On those games that he starts, he always run out of steam.

So, a smart approach would be to play Giovinco in the first team, and then bring on nedved 15-20 minutes from time, either to defend the game, or to win the game.

i think 4-3-3 would be the real remedy to win this game.

melb-----chie------legro-----moli
poul---marchisio---tiago
del/iaq---amau/treze---gio

this formation will be the recipe to win this game if the three midfielders turn on their aggresive mode, i believe our midfielders just need to be rough, hard and violent. and then del piero and giovinco will create the chances for the main striker upfront.

o yea, i hope poulson can be the asshole of the game again. Just look at how he got totti sent off in euro 2004, i hope he does that to some of the chelsea players.

We have a team made up of 1 or 2 trouble makers that can help us win the game, Chiellini is good at provoking strikers (zlatan), and then poulson has his history, and right now i think marchisio can be that type of trouble maker too.

Look at Chelsea, they have players who are easily provoked. Ashley cole can be our main aim. Our players just need to keep on talking shit to him from the first minute. i am sure we can get him sent off if we do that.

yes, this is the best team in my opinion.
No matter what some of you would say, but Marchioni did play and exposed A.Cole more than Camo last time around. I am sure he might just be lucky this time, dare i say even score..

The problem is that we hardly can score more than 1 goal, let alone 3 in case we concede.

We should play safe - ugly , and if still 0:0 last 15 minutes put an extra striker..

THE DRAMATIC OLD LADY WIN

On a rainy night, juventus managed to kick chelsea out of the uefa champions league, going against odds.

The game started off slowly with neither side creating chances until the 30th minutes. Ivorian striker Didier Drogba rose highest to head a corner towards the goal, only for Italian shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon A.K.A superman to smother it.
six minutes later, it was Poulson to see his long-shot goes into the fans after a wonder pass by Giovinco, also known as the Atomic Ant. No more chances were created until half-time

Both teams came into the second half without making any changes. The game restarted slowly, with Chelsea having most of the possessions, while juventus is playing long balls to no avail. Chelsea then turned on the attacking gear, but chiellini and Buffon came to juve's rescue time and again. Drogba's 1 metre tap-in was miraculously tipped away by Buffon, while Lampard was totally invisible under the eye of Chiellini.

Time was running out for Juventus, who needed a goal to get back into the fight. In 80th minute, Nedved was brought on for Giovinco, who had a quiet night like the other attackers.

Then, things started to change in the 85th minute. A failed clearance by Chelsea captain, John Terry, landed at Marchisio's feet just outside the area, he then tried to go pass a defender, only to be brought down by Ashley Cole, resulting in a freekick.

Up stepped Del piero to take the freekick. And with such accuracy, he conjured up magic! To everybody's shock, he delivered the ball with his left foot! The ball flew like a butterfly, but stung like a bee. it went right into the left top corner of the goal, after swerving three times! Even the Juventus fans were silenced for about half a second before celebrations erupted all over Turin.

With the Chelsea players still in shock, the match restarted, but nothing were created and the game goes into extra time. Both sides continued to play cautiously, without much attacking inspirations. Drogba once again had his powerful shot from oustide the area parried by Buffon with ease. Defense King Chiellini somehow managed to keep every chelsea players from entering the area and his territory.

Things looked like it was going down to penalty when drama happened! at 119th minutes, Molinaro somehow dribbled 4 Chelsea players, but had his cross hacked out for a corner. Nedved took the corner, and Amauri rose above all to head it towards the goal from 2 metre out! But Ashley Cole was there to hack it powerfully off the goal line. BUT, the ball hit Molinaro's face and rebounded back towards the goal, this time entering the net!

Juventus went crazy! the fans were dancing and Ranieri was jumping with his staffs! Every single players had tears in their eyes! they went to hug Molinaro, who was on the ground, with a bloody nose but still conscious. The restart lasted onli 1 minute before the final whistle and Juventus is through!

Ranieri after the game " I told the players to fight for the win and they did that!"

Nedved : " I am going to make my last season at juventus the best season ever!"

Chiellini: " John Terry who?"

Molinaro ( with a broken nose) : " Who am I?"

lets hope dreams do come through!!!!!

FORZA JUVE!

While it is bad news, I'm not overly concerned about it for this game. It is obviously bad news to be without him for over a month.

Chelsea will sit back and make it hard to break them down. Poulsen's better passing may be just what is required to move the ball faster and find some space.
100%. Wanted to highlight this one as-well.

so is Marchisio out of this game? I don't think Tiago and Poulsen can hold it.
I was hoping for Marchisio/Sissoko partnership. )
Thank god it wont happen because you are probably not aware that Marchisio/Sissoko will never work.

He was playing very poorly lately though. Sissoko's game is always of extremes, either way.
Yep. I was thinking the same. I also think, that the passing skills of Tiago or Poulsen would be better for us in this game, than the ball winning skills of Momo. Either way, we can say that Marchisio and Nedved are set to play, the rest will be decided between Marchionni, Brazzo, Poulsen and Tiago!

Where is Camo when we need him...... :(

You wrote this to have an excuse to come later on and tell us, I told you so, or you'll actually cheer for Chelsea to score an away goal?
you know, I almost dont want to give an idiot like yourself the time of day with your utterly STUPID comment, but I will respond this one time, so you and some other brain surgeons here get the fucking point-

I want Juve to win, probably even more than you do, BUT, I am intelligent enough to realize that Chelsea not only have a better team, but also have a better coach, and since we were unable to secure an away goal in London, it will make it that much harder for us in Torino.

That is my opinion, and thats why everyone comes to this forum- to give an opinion. I wont lie to myself and others about our chances just to fit in with others here who cannot see or understand the problems with our team.

If you dont like my opinion, as I've said a thousand times, then put me on your IGNORE list, plain and simple

now kindly fuck off

Since we haven't played or used any tried formation after Chelsea's first leg, I think it makes much more sense to go for 4-4-2.

I guess this is what we are going to see on Tuesday night.

Buffon

Grygera - Legro - Chiellini - Molinaro

Marchionni - Tiago - Marchisio - Nedved

Trezeguet - Del Piero(C)

Salihamidzic to replace Marchionni if he's not 100% fit.

I think it's really crucial and important to score in the 1st half to so things would be balanced and to remove the pressure from our shoulders. The pressure will increase in the 2nd half and it won't look good.

keep dreaming about a 4-3-3 or whateva, it should be obvious to everyone that we can't use a formation we havent tried before in a crucial game like this. this is real life football, not FM :)
