I wouldnt say its a point earned or two points lost. Draw was pretty much deserved, however its frustating to see that the time we did dominate, why we couldnt keep going.

We aren't going to get very far in the CL without top strikers, simple as that. Vucinic was his frustrating self, but he did try to make things happen and did make space for himself, Matri was just shambolic, good for Serie A, abysmal in the CL. Giovinco is also a greedy little fucker, thinks too much about himself rather than the team. Our biggest failure of the whole game was our wing backs, they gave no support to any of our attacks (except for Lict the odd time, but he would more often than not fuck it up).

Our players feed off our fans, but the fans were as flat as our performance, christ it was like a funeral in that stadium for most of the game.

Cheesio was our best player by a mile.

8th consecutive draw in Europe, what a load of shit.

Abysmal display! This is not how you play your most important match of the group, this is not how you let your opponent dominate you at your home turf, in front of your crowd in your very first match in years, in your very first CL match in your new stadium. I will try not to blame the players for this one rather our management who simply did not stitch a team to play in Europe. Nicklas Bendtner is the closest we can get to a decent forward for this match but he did not get to play a minute, instead we had to watch Vucinic flick the ball left and right thinking it is a friendly.

Where is the movement of our defenders? where are the forward runs from our midfielders? why was Asamoah afraid of moving further from the center line? All these are mistake from Conte. We played a 3 5 2 yet we gave Shakhtar all the space they needed to execute their play both when having the ball and when defending.

This team needs a lot to play CL football, we should simply focus on Serie A otherwise we might hand in the title to Napoli already.

Buffon 6.5

Barzagli 6.5
Bonuci 6.5
Chiellini 5.5

Lichtsteiner 4.5
Vidal 5
Pirlo 5.5
Marchisio 6.5
Asamoah 6

Vucinic 4.5
Matri 5

Quagliarella 4.5
Giovinco 5.5
Pogba N.R (poor thing only gets 10 minutes)

Chelsea need to beat Shaktar twice, otherwise I cannot see us going through.
If we can win twice against Nordsjaelland

Then it would be after round 4

Chelsea: 10
Juventus: 8
Sjachtar: 4
Nordsjealland: 0

Which would still make it pretty hard for us considering we need to face Sjachtar and Chelsea

Pretty average performance at best, we looked a shadow side from the first whistle. You can't always play well, but the team looked shell shocked that they were playing a team who could move the ball so well. This is the CL, you don't play many mug teams like in Italy. There was no pressing, we were passing the ball all over the place.

We did wake up second half, but completely ran out of gas by about 70 mins. Vidal looked like he had ran a marathon before the game even started, Vucinic went from crucial to increasingly annoying and just held the ball at every occasion, even with simple passes on. Even Pirlo was passing it nowhere.

I thought Shakhtar looked like an excellent team. Maybe we got them on a particularly good day, but we were nowhere near our best. The stupid thing is, we were in a position to go and win the game second half.

Shakhtar seemed to get every bounce and bobble all game, because they were on their toes at all times. They looked super confident, like they were floating on air. We seemed to be treading water. It's going to be a difficult job to balance competitions out, we need to get better at it.

Kind of annoying how after giovinco came on bonucci still kept trying to play long balls to him. It can work for vucinic as he's tall and strong, but you may as well just pass to their centrebacks.

Anyone know what that drop ball was for?

Sky commentators were terrible, saying ref heavily favoured us and then something along the lines of 'what's new'.

Stadium was disappointing too, I hope they revise ticket prices for the next cl games.

So we still cannot figure out that winning one match and losing another still gives more points than two draws. Fucking disgrace that was.
