True enough I suppose, but our team plays very schematically. In a new formation, players will have to look for eachother. I fear it will make us all the more slow.
I do not know if that would be really a help. Bayern is used to play against 4-3-3s - but is not against the 3-5-2. So they would probably adjust very easily. And the unusual formation could backfire when a team is not really used to play it very often.
well, this could be, but in a 4-3-3 the roles, especially in the final third of the field, could look nearly the same as in the 3-5-2. and Bayern adjusting to a 4-3-3 version Juve would also happen, however, I think Bayern hasn't played all that well against such a formation. Leverkusen, Dortmund etc. are playing their version of the 4-3-3 and were successfull. Don't getr me wrong, I am a huge fan of the 3-5-2, but I have hardly seen a team adjusting so well to our tactic like Bayern. We could go out and play the same system, but I don't think this will happen.
IMO this should be the game plan:
--------------------Buffon--------------
Caceres/Isla - Barzagli - Bonucci - Chiellini
-----------------Pirlo - Pogba-----------
------------------Marchisio--------------
Isla/Giaccherini - Quagliarella ----- Vucinic
Defensivly we should try to isolate them on the wing. Try to put 3 guys around Ribery or Robben and isolate them from the rest of the team, this could make it hard for them if they try to link up with the fullbacks, as well as finding the midfield to change sides. If they have the ball in their own half, press with 4 guys, force them to play the long ball and for god sake, put Marchisio on Schweinsteiger, he was awesome in the first game.
Offensivly we should really try to get Pogba involved. Pirlo will again have a hard time, Bayern will try everything to pressure him from left, right and behind....with Pogba, Marchisio and Vucinic dropping to the middle, try to play a quick ball through the middle, the center defense is their worst part in the, attack it with Vucinic, Marchisio and Quag. Just my version of fantasy football
