I'm sick of these "first year back" apologetic loser excuses.

It's not our first year, it was our third year since Calciopoli.

Remember with Ranieri we got knocked out by Chelsea with a much weaker team, and they only beat us 1-0 at home and 2-2 in Turin. Chelsea were ontop of the world that season and I think it was the season Terry missed a penalty that would have won it in the final against ManU.
That Chelsea was on a free-fall with Scolari and just weeks before playing us they hired Hiddink and things started to change for them. We play a lot better now than we did then, and that Chelsea we played was nothing close to complete like this Bayern. That year Chelsea improved further later into Hiddink's reign.

Wrong way to look at the reality. Just because that team back then was called Juventus, it doesn't mean that this wasn't the first year for this Juve team.
We lacked experience. Someone here said that Di Matteo also didn't have experience and won the CL. But DM's staff had years and years of CL experience. His players played together in CL knockouts for years. All he had to do was to watch tapes of Chelsea's CL finals and semifinals, and he'd be aware how strong his team is. Conte didn't realistically know how his team compares to Europe's teams. His assistants also didn't have an idea. For lots of our players this was the first CL episode, and the first two legged match in a quarterfinal. Even against Celtic we were way too careful, because we didn't really know what to expect and how to behave.
All the CL winning teams or CL finalists as of late, were teams built for years. Teams with lots of important matches and failures behind them. This Juve team didn't even have a chance to fail before we faced Bayern. I guess we'll need to learn a lot before we make it to the semis or the final, just like Real, Bayern, Inter and Barca had to learn and fail. So, indeed, tactics and mentality were wrong, because most of our men didn't really know which tactics and what mentality is the right one. Next year we might not do better than a quarterfinal, but you can be sure that we won't make those rookie mistakes which we simply couldn't avoid making this year.

I just don't understand how anyone can say that losing to a good team is an excuse. What, unless you win the tournament every year it's a failed season? Juve lost to s superior team, that's it, and we're going to get bounced this next round to a superior team. That's how this shit works.

Well, given how many people are shitting in their pants about not winning the CL on Juve's first return to the tournament in years, that's hilarious enough on its own.

Really man?? That $#@!ing chiellini hit mandzukic in the foot with a horrible kick (glad mandzu was protected) and then he started to cry like a babie in the floor and the refeere gave mandzu a yellow card,(the card should been to chiellini because he kick mandzukic) as soon as refeere gave the foul chiellini was back at his feets. Chiellini is a disgrace and thanks to him we lost a very valuable player on the semifinals. Chiellini is a good defender, a good actor an a good $#@!. I $#@!ing hate him.
It was a great match and I hope conte learned a lesson an in the next champions I hope juve will be much better than this juve

We were exposed big time against Bayern. Even more so Conte. Our Ferguson? I really doubt it.
Ferguson's first attempt at the European Cup ended with Aberdeen taking a sound beating from a great Liverpool team in 1980.

He was an inexperienced coach then and had an inexperienced squad.

He learned from that game and within a few years he had made Aberdeen into arguably the best team in Europe.

Only a complete idiot would write off Conte at this point.

There's no excuse, strategy or something to complain.

We lost to a better team, end of discussion.

We reached max level with the squad we have right now, burn the useless mofos and bring new blood and pray that Arturo wants to remains in this team.
